I built a budget computer and put 2 sticks of PC6400 DDR2 ram in it. I've read a few reviews on the web that said that the MOBO will not take advantage of the RAM speed. Im just wondering if I wasted money on the ram and should have picked up cheaper ram?

Via P4M890 specs
It would appear that it only takes advantage of up to DDR2 533. I believe the information can also be found in the sticky at the top of this forum in the Core2 section. It looks like you'd need at least the P4M900 to take advantage of the faster RAM.
