You need to take a look at the time when he played AND other catchers that played with him along with catchers that came before him.

You need to take a look at the time when he played AND other catchers that played with him along with catchers that came before him.
Of the catchers that played in Carter's era the only one that should be in the HOF is Johnny Bench. Carter was above average but not worthy of the HOF. Next your going the tell me that Lance Parish is a HOFer.
