Just got this movie and it was awesome. Watched it three times already. Lol. I think it flopped at the box office though which is a shame because Doug Liman did a pretty decent job directing.

Will watch again before I go to bed tonight.

Yeah it was a great movie. I think people thought it looked too similar to Oblivion or something. People in general seemed to be tired of Tom Cruise, but he always makes entertaining movies. And the studio didnt do themselves any favors by changing the name for home and streaming releases.

And also, Emily Blunt should be a super hero in some DC or Marvel movie. She was badass in Edge of Tomorrow.

She did kick ass indeed. It's kinda funny to watch a movie like "The Five Year Engagement" and see the difference in the characters she can portray.

I love Tom Cruise and love the moves he has been making lately... Valkyrie, Knight and Day, Jack Reacher, Oblivion, all awesome movies imho. Not a big fan of MI series, except of course when its directed by maestro John Woo, will watch Rogue Nation when it comes out on BR.

btw, is 369 million collection still considered a flop? Sure flopped in US but internationally I think it did OK. After all people run after China built cell phone like zombies run after Coral, its a global economy, so why gauge a movie by the audience of just one country?

Great movie. I really don't understand why it wasn't a bigger deal at the time. I've heard speculation that people didn't get what it was about, hence the name change to "live, die, repeat", but I knew exactly what it was about and thought the new name was stupid. Shows just how dumb the industry thinks people are. Hell, maybe they're right. The damn thing did flop in the U.S.

The Island suffered from no marketing but was also a great movie. I had my doubts about Edge of Tomorrow but it entertained like it should. Critics and their criteria can suck it when it comes to movies for entertainment.

I think the problem is whenever Tom Cruise is cast in a movie all they do is emphasize Tom Cruise. What is the movie about? Who the fuck knows? But Tom Cruise! Jack Reacher was a great example of that. It was a pretty decent flick, but all I knew about it before I watched it was Tom Cruise drives a muscle car.

I enjoyed it. It got into the action pretty quick, had some good laughs, and an interesting plot. The ending (probably the last 30 minutes) did feel a little rushed just to wrap it all up, but it was still well worth it.

Saw it in the theaters and couldn't wait for it to come out on Blu-ray. It was that good. So sad to see how it wasn't a bigger success. The marketing was pretty terrible as the trailer doesn't do the movie any sort of justice.

Seriously though, I liked it, but I have to give it a B or B- overall. They did several things right, but they missed some opportunities. And I'm just talking about the movie itself, not how the suits had no idea what to do with it.
