Hot Deal on the Sanyo SCP-6000 Cell Phone but you need to act fast as it goes through the MSN Deal and an AMEX Blue PM. This is a kick @ss little phone which normally goes for $300. Even on the cheapy Yahoo shopping pages it goes for $200 with 2 year activation from no-name vendors. And the bare phones go for $200 on eBay. This little baby offers voice activated dialing, wireless web, PC link capabilities to download ring tones and even pictures. All that on top of being the US's thinnest (and lightest?) cell phone! The deal works out to $159.00 + $10 service credit + $20 worth of free stuff from Radio Shack + free shipping.
Here is the deal...
1) Goto RadioShack's online site and purchase the SCP-6000 for $279.99 and add $20.01 worth of stuff to your cart. Check out using the .NET Passport deal and net $60 at the end of the year. Total price so far: $300.00 - $60.00 = $240.00
2) When you get the phone, go to Sprint PCS and activate it online for $10 in service credit. Do it by Dec. 31st though, or you won't get the rebate...
3) Download and mail in the $30 rebate from RadioShack's site. Too bad I didn't buy this phone last week as there was a $60 rebate that expired Sunday Total price so far: $240.00 - $30.00 = $210.00
4) Do a AMEX Blue PM with Platinum Communications which sells the phone with no activation for $228.99 and you'll get $51.00 back. You can also try it with either ISC Wireless or 123 Cellular Accessories which both sell it for $199.99 but they require a 2 year contract so AMEX will probably not allow it. Final Price: $210.00 - $51.00 = $159.00 No go on the PM... Final Price $210
Please keep the flames to a minimum, I realize this is only a hot deal if you are in the market for a cell phone (aka you need to get a contract) and you want to use Sprint PCS as your provider. However, this is still a smokin' deal on this phone and will definitely set you apart from the all-to-common Nokia crowd. I haven't seen a phone like this since I was in Japan! It's about time they hit our shores
EDIT: From the responses below, it looks like you can't PM Cell Phones with AMEX Blue
New Price should be $210 but you still get $10 service credit and $20 worth of stuff from RadioShack.
EDIT #2: The $60 rebate was extended through the end of the year so the price is now down to $180... sorry, this is becoming a messy post. See my reply below for a link to the updated rebate form on Amazon's site.
