Cats are funny like that. My new orange one seems to like licking my nose and beard and also loves to do love bites, and they are kind of hard enough to leave point imprints in my skin, but not draw blood. The other day he bit my nose lol.

He's been eating 4x as much as when I first got him.

He also stopped trying to "Climb Up Me".... Months ago I would be BLEEDING because he seemed to not know that his claws are sharp and that I have skin....

Looks like you may be feeding him a little too much.

I don't think you are supposed to trim cat claws. Not sure on this exactly, and it may be different for kittens or indoor only cats, but I am pretty sure it isn't necessary.

First, get a cheap scratching post. Their instinct is to scratch things to sharpen there claws.

If you absolutely MUST trim them, use an abrasive wheel for human nail grooming. Don't press hard. Don't engage the wheel for more than a second or two at a time. Abrasive wheels are very effective at heating thing. I've burned myself many times.

Yes you do trim indoor cats, or it could cause issues. Especially in older cats. It doesn't hurt them, unless you do it wrong, and cut too short.

I'm always careful about making sure megabyte doesn't go outside but sometimes he would charge out the door and I would grab him before he gets out...

I think maybe he ran out when I wasn't looking, because I can't find him ANYWHERE! He usually runs towards me when I shake a bag of food, but not this time.

I called the shelter and they said to check the website below, I found a cat that looks like megabyte and the website says he was found today, but megabyte is an all black cat so there's bound to be cats that look like him, the shelter said they're not open on Monday so I would have to check if it's really him on Tuesday.

Oh shoots, hope you manage to find him. There is still a small chance he's in the house but just in a really good hiding spot. Check under the bed and try to see if you can use a mirror something to look towards the top. Sometimes they scratch out the paper like material and climb inside the mattress.

Was he chipped by chance? That will increase odds of finding him.

OK....so I found megabyte, he was behind the refrigerator....

But he's acting VERY Strange!

He's just standing there and if I get close he hisses at me,...he NEVER done this before.

The electromagnetic radiation from the refrigerator coils must've modified his DNA.

It's a mutant cat now so of course it will hiss at you.

Maybe stand behind the refrigerator for a few hours and hope you become mutant enough for the cat to be comfortable with you?
