ZipZoomFly has this for $169.99 after $40MIR, free 2nd day.

linky

Also their platinum verison of this has the same rebate, but for a little bit more $.

I've heard both uses the same ICs from infineon.

update: now $10 drop, $199 - $40 MIR = $159

update: another $10 drop? .... $189.80 - $40 MIR = $149.80

yeah is yours 3-4-3-8 the UCCC based?

think there is a thread some where about outpost has that sku for the same price, but OCZ PC-4000.

both are good ram, this with tighter timing, but prob not much for OC. UCCC can OC pretty well only with loose timing.

Wow, I think memory prices are lower now than they were a couple years ago.

I should learn from that time and stock up now.

I would not recommend doing that. AMD's M2 platform is due out in the next 3-4 months which uses DDR2. Unless you have an immediate or very near future need for it, let it go...

Should I get platinum for 10 bucks more or gold? Would the difference be noticible in battlefield 2/using windows?

Wow, careful, this is the lower binned pc3200.

The PC4000 Samsung UCCC by OCZ, Mushkin (black) or G.Skill (HZ) is clearly the better buy.

How long does it take ZZF to process orders usually? I placed an order Thursday morning and it's Monday closing but I haven't gotten a shipping notification yet.

those should be based on the same ICs, so yeah.

If you want though, there was another thread about outpost sellin the OCZ PC-4000 2gb kits based on UCCC ICs. Good stuff for overclocking, but not as tight timing as these.

ZZF kinda sucks. They promised Fedex 2-Day but my package was shipped out Home Delivery.

BTW I got the Platinum 2GB kit today. Popped them in and running CAS 2.0-3-2-7 T1 at 220MHz, 2.6v...so far so good.
Going to try Memtest86. If it's stable at this speed/timing then those OCZ's are awesome

I was going to get the Patriot 2GB 2-3-2-5 $151 AR on newegg, looking at these the timings arent as good, but I think I may trust OCZ more than Patriot. Do you guys think I should go with the Patriot or buy this?

Supposedly, the ram isn't programmed for cas2 because some machines won't accept cas2. Therefore you have to go in and manually set it in the bios. So far so good at cas2.

I got the Platinum not the gold. $171 AR.
Edit: so far stabilized at 220MHz, CAS 2.0-3-3-7 @ 2.65v. My KN8-SLI slightly overvolts so it's reading almost 2.7v right now.

Running my system merrily overclocked @ 260*100, 5/6 divider.
