I'd like to buy some RAM which runs stable with moderate CAS settings (2.5 with somewhat tight timings) AND be able to OC to ~225 MHz while running at NO more than ~2.65-2.7 volts. AND I don't want to spend more than ~$180 for 2 sticks @ 2GBs.

Will this OCZ gold meet my expectations?

Or is there another RAM which would be better for me?

I don't think I'll hop on the AM2 band wagon for a long while since it's such a big upgrade so I think I'll get this to replace my currect Crucial Ballistix PC4000 1GB Kit. And I don't really care to overclock...I just want 2 GB of RAM running in dual-channel. Games are really getting demanding on eye candy.

Price jumped a little but still $157 for the RAM after rebate. Got this in, testing it, poor overclocker but does run at rated speed which is pretty fast. Overall, I got what I paid for at a very good price considering not too long ago 2GB Cas2 RAM was going for $220+ with no rebates.

Has anybody here noticed that ZZF is no longer doing free 2nd day? That was for me a major reason to use them. When Newegg ships from NJ I get it in 2 days anyway, but CA takes 5 to 7. That wasn't a worry with ZZF. Now it is.

Or you could just get the same RAM from newegg for $158.80, also after a $40 rebate with three day shipping. I'll wait the extra day for the piece of mind of dealing with newegg, although I have bought a few times from ZZF and had no problems whatsoever...

I've ordered many upon many items from both company's and ZZF has consistantly given better service. Newegg has really gone downhill the past few month for me.

Has anyone gotten the rebate of $40 from OCZ?
I sent mine on the first week of March, still havent recieved the rebate check.
Called up last week, I was told that it's still processing.

Will Never buy OCZ, especially with rebate
