Thats funny because I've been thinking the exact opposite. The personality may be spot on from what you know, I don't read comicbooks so I wouldn't know. What I do know is that this guy is annoying as hell and everything he says is cheesy as hell.

Exactly, some of these posters must think everyone was familiar with the comic. I know numerous people that watch this show and was never aware there even was a comic until now. 90% of the people watching this show couldn't give a fuck less that there was a comic or how it follows said piece of literature.

Its not like its classic super hero stuff a la Marvel and DC, or even cult classic stuff that got ruined by Keanu Reeves a la 'Constantine'.

wtf is a GPS going to do anyways? why was that even brought up? it's not like they are lost or a GPS would say where zombie traffic is so they should avoid it.

Only thing a GPS would be helpful for is finding Points of Interests (Gas stations, stores) if they need supplies. A map would give a much better view of the area and where all the roads lead to than a tiny GPS unit.

Eventually they could get somewhere where they are not familiar with the geography. Their vehicle is not broken down - should they not take spare parts from the cars on the highway?

As for maps, how many people in Georgia have a map in their car nowadays, let alone a detailed map of a state other than Georgia?

In any event, originally I was mostly thinking about how long the GPS system would stay active more than how useful it would actually be for the group.
