The gamestop i went to only accept games that have trade-in value of $5 or more!
My Fantavision ($1 value) won't be accepted
Anyone else had the same problem?

wow....the sign at the stores very clearly states "on any XBOX, PS2, or Gamecube game except older sports and wrestling games." You guys are making me nervous, I just bought a load of used $7.99 games at a GameStop to trade in at another store!!! These games all suck!!!! I hope I do not get stuck with them......

thx for the heads up. went today to set it up but they dont take your games until u pick up the new one?? is that the way they work it? they guy told me i "should be ok" with terminator and buffy tradeins...

I went to two gamestops. The first said each game had to have a trade-in value of 10 bucks each. The second said each needed to be 20, which is a load of crap cuz they only offer 20 for some of the new releases.

that's a new one!!! This is a pre-order deal.....they take your games then give a receipt which shows your credits and which game you are pre ordering. Unless, the game is already released, then they just do the trade on the spot.

Which brings up another point....I have 2 different receipts which show "$15 added to trade in value Reason: January New Release". That means that 2 of the games I traded in were only worth $5!! So if you are being told that they have to have a value of more than $5, they are full of shite!!! I can't vouch for games worth less than 5 though, as I have not traded one in yet.

Well, I went to another "babbage's" , and they still won't take Fantavision, but they did take my onimusha ($3 trade-in), that guy just look at the computer and said fantavision is too old, so i guess you guys should try more gamestop stores (babbage's, funcoland, software etc).....and got the DMC2 T-shirt too, nice

O.K., so now I do have a receipt which shows the trade in for a game worth $3 (MDK2) and a game worth $1 (Savage Skies). Then the little @sshole goes out to the shelves and brings the case for the Sims off the wall and pulls the disc out of the drawer.

I says: Do dat be new?

He says :yes.

I says: Why do it be out da box?

He says: To keep folk from stealing it.

I says: O.K. then, dat be alright wit me!!!

So I get out of the store and look at the Sims disc....it looks like a couple of 2 year olds were playing frisbee with it!!! I am totally pissed right now. I think I will return it later.

Hmm...
I guess I scored big time then. My store didn't have a minimum value limit.
Traded in Oni ($2) and H30 Surfing ($4) and got Getaway PLUS they gave me a shiny penny ($40 - $39.99)
Even the girl at the desk smiled back and me and said, "Wow, you really came out on top with this deal."

On a sadder note, I tried to go back again today for more, with SSX and RRV but they said the deal ended yesterday

Still happy I got rid of my sh!t games though

yea i signed up yesterday but they didnt take my titles. then today went to pick up my game and they told me the deal was cancelled, they got an email and pulle all th signs etc. im waiting to speak to a manager tomorrow...

Went to ebgames at holyoke mall and purchased fantavision for $4.99 and garden of eden $7.99. Went to funcoland in Riverdale center and got DMC2 preorder for $12.50 with the 2 games.

Beware...some local stores are saying this is over. Do not buy games unless you can very trade deal!!!!!
