Getting out of going would be easy. Getting out of being a groomsman is gonna be tough. You need a major excuse, especially after having confirmed. Can always fake sick the day off I guess, but it'll have to be something major and you'll have to make it believable (lot of details), and involved lies like that are inherently risky and have a habit of biting most people in the ass later on, especially with something big like a wedding.

Personally I'd just go. It's just a few hours of your time and you've already confirmed so...

No. You need to go. If you're a groomsman then you must be at least fairly good friends with the groom, in which case you should be happy for him. If you wanted to avoid some of the additional hassles of being a groomsman (getting a tuxedo, posing for an endless stream of pictures, etc) you should have politely declined but offered to attend the wedding as a regular guest.

At this point you need to suck it up and go. Get used to it, once you're married you'll be going to a zillion times more weddings than you are now.
