I'm sure that is a very smart feature, however, much like being able to find files on your PC by using the "Find" function.

However with mp3 disks as well as computer files I normally put things into folders.

So on my latest "Industrial" compilation CD I have folders for each individual band/artist..navigating to that band/artist is a simple one button operation.

Just for the record, the Koss Mp3 In-dash does that too...(scrolling through a directory) maybe two buttons used but what the heck, it's no different

just incase somebody is wondering how:

press AMS button three times to go into directory search mode,
then press the forward or backward buttons to scroll through the mp3 that u want.... me, I have about 30 songs in every directory and there is no way in hail that i am going to be scrolling through.... shoot, all i have to do is put in a distincitive sequence letters of the id3 tag (whether two or three) and kablam, i am there.....again, don't be fooled by those that are trashing this!!! DA PLAYER is the bom...

Actually before I decided on the JVC unit - I was considering the Jensen 5010K and also looked at reviews for numerous other units that were considered "budget" mp3 players.

Nearly all of the units have negative aspects of some sort - I eventually plumped for the JVC after reading so many good reviews by users.

I'm sure you unit is great for the money, It has me thinking about getting one for my mother now

I went in to ge the Xtreme Sound unit for 129.99 but know I am wishing for the Koss MS551 with the remote... Neither of my Walmarts have this unit. Is it new or old?

This is not the Koss 551 unit we were discussing... Does this unit include a remote? Also would this apply to Fry's in AZ?
