I have been searching around, with no luck, on ways to modify video card rom files.
Here's what I am attempting to do
Modify default gpu core speed to 185 (video card can handle 200 but I want a buffer)
Modify default memory speed and timing 185 (video card can handle 196, but artifacting and lockup's occur at higher speeds, again I want a buffer)
The card I am messing around with is a Radeon LE flashed with the Radeon DDR Retail bios (which changes the gpu/memory timings to 166 from 143). I know there are programs to hack the speed of the within windows, but these take up system resources, which is why I am looking to do it within the bios.
I have bios rom files for all currently available radeon cards, including the SE Vivo card which has a very high default gpu/memory speed, for reference.
Anyone have any utilities or any tips on going about this. I have been messing around with motherboard bios's for awhile now, the firewall machine has the Suicidal Tendencies logo as the boot logo, and figure its time to move into the video card realm.
