jesus christ.. so the tight fitting pants have been around for awhile, emo's start wearing them, and they are instantly emo jeans.

i for one love my low rise boot cuts.. if you have looked, just about any rock-person wears the style that are tight to the legs.
it's just a trend again and so A&F is cashing in on it. personally i like the low rise boot cuts from Levi's just as well, although my most recent pair were AE brand.

Low-rise boot cut is my favorite style.

OP, the ones you tried on are probably "slim-fit".

Gap boot cut for me. Pick them up for around $20 at the outlet. Express has some decent boot cut ones too, but you have to check for the sales to get them around $30 a pair.

my ruehl jeans are all button flys...

these are from the same makers of abercrombie (but more high end)... they come in three styles... low rise, varik boot cut, and another fit...

i purchased the varik boot cut... these are your normal jeans, no snug fit, they are just nice loose fit that looks great over boots

That was probably the problem, he was trying to get low cut jeans up to his belly button. Fashion currently dictates we must wear our jeans lower now. The 'waist' should be practically resting on your piece.

I had a hard time shopping for jeans a few weeks ago. I ended up getting some "Loose Boot Cut" button fly at GAP. I love them.
