See now I could imagine being a customer and getting angry if some egghead employee come on to a message board and gave out my name and where I live, no matter what the customers reactions were, that isnt a professional way to deal with the issue.

I'm not even elite but was lurking to see the Whiney Monitor Children issue, and figured now that I'm a posted I might as well have some fun with the whiney memory children. Wounded Ram Children UNITE!

Anyways, this was fun while it lasted. After being here for a long time, nothing good comes out of this. There won't be any lawsuits, there won't be any cheap ram. the only thing good out of this would most likely be a $10 gift certificate or something comparable IF ANYTHING AT ALL. my money is on that nothing comes out of this. it would be good if nothing comes out of this.

Please stop flaming the elites. they have seen alot of this going on and i myself has been a member through a bunch of them.

I have been a Wounded Bunny Child, Wound SB Platinum Child (KayPro), Wounded Staples Child (Staples is suck!), and a member of that "Free pocketknife" thing where the company posted all our personal info on a unsecure website. I am sad that i have missed the Wounded Monitor Child fiasco. i have been in coutless other lesser scandals and i've learned alot from all of them. they are fun. i have stayed up all night for each and every one of those...hoping my order goes through before they cancel it. I always expect a cencellation but one can always hope. Lawsuits never materialize. noone ever follows through with it. however, if anyone wants to take up the huge hassleof organizing a class action lawsuit, good for you and if you need any info email me. i will be more than happy to help you but i don't have the time nor the resources to handle a huge class acton lawsuit.

And befoe you flame me, i am a Wounded Ram Child like you. I really wanted that ram. and if you check, i was to first to reply to that post and i ordered at around 12:30 that night. i am undoubtedly one of the first who ordered it. so if i'm not getting my order, i highly doubt anyone is.

Wow... that was some entertaining reading. Actually quite a waste of a half hour or so. I'm so glad that I don't come to this forum very often (actually this is the first time). I now go happily back to the Hot Deals forum where people actually have a life. I would rather read a bunch of posts from people moaning about not getting a deal they didn't deserve than a bunch of people who have nothing to moan about, but just like hearing themselves moan. everyone makes mistakes, it was probably somebody typing into the computer, and missed a key.
so everytime you guys miss a key are you going to pay out 750k got the mistake?
most of these companies don't make a particularly large amount of money, so if you guys keep trying to screw over every company that is trying to do you a service and make it so you don't have to get off your lazy butts and go to the store (and pay more for your effort), then why would any company even try to exist? You all went into this knowing it was a pricing error. The original poster of the deal should have emailed the company and informed them of the error. Hopefully the company would have realized what a mess this could cause and give that person a gift certificate or soemthing. But instead you strive to screw over honest businessmen probably not much different from you. Imagine what it would be like if you were out a job because some intern forgot a number, and your company went bankrupt.

Windog, I must correct you on a couple of points... first off because of the cost (below 5k) this goes to small claims. Small claims does not allow council in court you may consult outside of court but you represent yourself. Secondly, when a supplier gives you a stated price then recants after a contract has been formed who's responsible? The author of the offer who extended it? Or the other party that merely agreed to the stated offer? This kind of self-advantagous modifying/voiding of a deal is the reason that contractual laws exist in the first place.

Let's think of this another way. Are you curious what egghead would do if the tables were turned? Their &quot;policy&quot; addresses this. &quot;Orders may not be cancled after being placed&quot; If you saw a better deal after you place your order it's just too damn bad baby, a deal's a deal.
