Saw this on Newegg...figured what the hell. Don't know if limited edition means LE (hope not). The picture looks like a 6800 Ultra Extreme. Not really sure what this card will turn out to actually be. At the least I hope it's a 6800NU and I can softmod it to GT or above.

Anyone else seen this card. EVGA doesn't even have it on their website.

That looks to be exactly what it is. A 6800nu with 256GDDR3. And that is a much better price than what ASUS was pimping it for. If you can softmod it, you have a true GT.

Interesting... If so, this joins the Asus V9999 Gamer Edition as the only two non-Ultra cards to be produced using the 6800U PCB, AFAIK. Could be soft-mod heaven.

It is probably a way for them to get rid of 6800us which have a bad quad, in which case softmoding would be unlikely but overclocking should be good. Regardless, I'd say the 256mb of gdd3 at that price makes it the 6800nu to have.

I'm starting to think that, too...good way to get rid of those 6800UEs that didn't come out so well. Either way it's better than a GF2GTS w/32MB.

Well it's here. Installed 66.81 and RivaTuner15.2. Loaded up Riva and all pipes were already enabled (16x6). Clock speed was set at 325/1100. Bumped that up to 350/1100 (which in turn dropped the core temp ~2.5 degrees). 3dmark03 of 9271 on an ECS K7S5A (AGP4x) and an XP1900+. Hopefully that will get better with the new DFI MOBO and a DTR 3200+ that's in the mail...among other parts for the upgrade.

I'm still not really sure what's up with this card. It comes in a 6800U box with a "limited edition" sticker over all the "ultra"s. Seems to run OK so far though. Memory clock speed is definitely not set at 700MHz like Newegg says.

Has anyone got this card yet. If so let's see some more data...maybe it's not a horrible deal after all.

I ordered this card and a NV silencer 5 yesterday so should be here around friday. Im gonna try unlocking the other pipes and see what kind of OC i can get. Will give more info with some benches then.

I didn't even have to unlock the pipes...they were already done. We'll see if you get the same thing.

That 3dmark03 score is pretty low for an ultra clone isnt it? I get 10678 with a vanilla 6800, pipes unlocked with a little OC.

He is CPU limited until he gets his computer up to spec. I know all of us are CPU limited to some extent with these new cards but his system is very out of date for the card, i expect his score will jump by like 4 thousand points when he gets the new stuff.

same HSF, Same dual power connectors. I bet this bad boy was an ultra that could'nt make the ultra grade and will run easy GT speeds maybe at bit more.

I'm kinda confused, so is this a 6800UE that's underclocked? or a plain 6800 that just upgraded slitghtly and looks like a 6800UE? or something in between? Also, what does softmod mean, I'm still learning about graphics cards.

This is a 6800 Ultra underclocked to 325. Like I said it comes in a 6800U box but with Limited Edition stickers covering the Ultra (I know because I peeled them off). The core easily overclocks to GT speeds...I have yet to try Ultra speed. The memory is already clocked at Ultra speeds and all pipes unlocked. As of right now I'm declaring this a hot deal. However I'm too lazy to post in that forum.

BTW if you're interested in this card I'm not sure how long I would wait on it. Considering eVGA has no documentation on this card, no mention of it on their website, and aren't even giving the card it's own box, I'd say this card probably is a limited edition.

I literally just clicked the Submit Order button at newegg on a whole new machine and went with this card. I'll let you know how I like it when it arrives...prolly not till monday at earliest - damn weekend. Was originally gonna just go with a 9800pro and flash it xt but did this instead...I hope it proves worth it. It will be running on a AMD 64 3400+ on a asus K8V SE Deluxe with 1GB of Corsair XMS so I shouldn't have any system bottlenecks.
