Got my card and it's working well!!

Out of the box my card was clocked at 325/700... kind of strange.

Now it's doing 401/1100 no problems!!!!! ULTRA SPEED!!!!!!!!!!

One question: I'm flashed to the ultra bios off the CD. Is the GT bios better?? I'm scoring 4688 on 3dmark2005 with my P4 2.4C with 512MB DDR400.

Thugs and Aoninc let me just say thanks for all the work you guys have done. This card has gone beyond what I had hoped to get out of this deal. When I first saw it on newegg I thought we could maybe get it to 350Mhz and have a really cool GT going but now we're getting $330 Ultras. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Just got my card in from zipzoomfly and it is 325/700...

Is it possible I did something wrong? or am I the only one in this thread that is going to get screwed?

Please help if you can!

6800 Limited edition, dual DVI, peel off the stickers on the box it says ultra...

Stock settings are 325/700, and if I try to use coolbits and OC the card to 1100, it will take it, but when I try to run a benchmark, the machine freezes.

did you flash the bios? you pretty much have to to unlock everything and get full clocking

no, I didn't flash it yet.. I didn't want to flash it in case I don't have the same card everyone else does..

That would basically void my warranty, and then I couldn't return the stupid thing.

Seems one other had the same problem as I do though. This is really odd.

Dude just flash it... we have the same cards. I ordered from ZZF Sunday, got my card today, it was 325/700 stock. I flashed to ultra bios and clocked to 401/1100 and it works great!!! $340 ultra!!!!! w00t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heh yeah, but 700MHz mem = crap. I ran 3dmark2005 with the card out of the box and I scored just over 3100, flashed and OC'd to ultra and I got 4866... you'd have to be stupid to leave it at the 700MHz mem

BTW, ZZF's site says these cards run at 1100 mem... so I guess we could return the card if we wanted to cuz they are technically defective I guess...

now if only someone could tell me what are the best drivers to use with these babies. With this beast, IQ is probably more important than few more fps. Any drivers that get rid of shimmering and FSAA issues is welcome.

Just got mine from zipzoomfly 350/700 out of the box. haven't flashed it yet. not sure if i need to, ran D3 at 1280x1024 4x AA ultra high quality. super playable speeds, never slowed for one second. only problem was i was getting a little tearing, my monitor is set at 75hz refresh rate.

i dunno, i'm thinking ill just get the GT when Christmas comes around (when i'm gunna build) because as good as this deal sounds, i dont want to void the warrenty as my parents are gunna be paying for most of this (Xmas present) and the GT should be very fast too. Because if i void the warrenty and something goes wrong....****....

yep in that case stick with the GT. Who knows may even find a better deal on the GT's in a couple of months. But the overclocker in me just can't stand the sight of warrenty, lol.

edit: also anyone look at my post on the last page? recommend some drivers?

i was doing some research, and, although off topic, found the nForce 4 SLI boards. It seems that 2 6600GT's are faster than 1 6800 GT on benchmarks, scoring about 5800 in 3d mark '05!

I was wondering, if you do that, wouldn't you technically have 512 mb's of video ram (if u get 2x256 mb cards)

I seem to be having probs with my card too. When I run 3DMark05 I get hesitation and artifacts @stock speeds. I uninstalled/reinstalled Rivatuner, tried a different DVI port, and fresh install of 66.81 drivers. 2D looks fine, but any 3D app has hesitation and artifacts.

I was thinking of flashing the bios to see if that helps but I don't want to void the warranty if I got a bad card. Any other suggestions?

If you are afraid of voidingthe warranty, you can always reflash the backup LE bios if the ultra/GT one doesnt do what it should.
