How could i edit the eVGA stock bios to default to its actual 400mhz speed, or maybe even 415/420? Could someone point me in the right direction?

Coolbits will allow you to select the boot and run clock.
I'm running the stock ultras bios (rev 4)
However you can mod your bios with "OmniExtremeEditFX" (I did a 1.5 volt change) To what ever voltage or clock you want.
And it is a permanent change (unless you decide you want something different)

Does anyone have the FarCry benchmark tool that could run a few comparo benchies for me? I just need some framerates for Ubisoft Regulator and Ubisoft Volcano run at 1280x1024, with and without 4AA 8AF, Max detail, and default render path.

Back in stock at Zip Zoom Fly

Did anyone get a card from them that actually came running 325/1100??

If not, did anyone actually get their flashed to run at 425/1200 or whatever the standard is now??

sitting at 430/1130 right now, artifact free, seems stable.. played a few hours of doom3, warcraft3, benchmarks.. not a single reboot or blue screen or anything.. temps around 60 (an my case runs a little warm usually).. scored a 5376 on 3d'05.

My card came 325/700 from ZZF, flashed to a GT1.5v BIOS. Very satisfied atm.

Standard Ultras are 400/1100 .. vanillas are 325/700 and GTs are 350/1000 (correct me if im wrong)
so anything over 400/1100 is excellent

I just ordered one (since I decided not to order one fron newegg and I cancelled my order from ZZF once already) Out of curiosity, if I got a 325/700 card, would flashing it to the LE 325/1100 bios and then flashing it to the GT bios work??

I hope to get 425/1100 Ultra speeds without alot of struggling...but now I'm really worried (again) This would be the 2nd time I've cancelled an order from them, but ugh...I dunno what to do. If I get the card and it's running a 325/700, I can flash it to the LE BIOS w/o violating my warranty, and if that doesn't work, I can return it to eVGA correct??

Well, I got mine today. 325/1100 out of the box with all 16 pipes open. Ran 3dmark03 with everything stock and got a 10040. Some slight artifacts...on the turtles back. I then flashed to gt 1.4. Easy as hell. Thanks for all of your work. I have been able to overclock easily 3d permance mode only with Coolbits 2 to 430/1.20. Runs perfectly. It's running pretty hot though. It has an Idle temp right now at 63 degrees (42 ambient) and when I ran 3dmark it got up to 70. Should I be worried about that? I have WOohoo.
Thanks again for all of your hard work guys.

Ok, guys can you please walk me through this. I dont have a floppy in my computer. So, I downloaded Thugsrocks and Aonics Bios iso. in the text file in this iso it tells me that to burn this iso I needto extract a BCD file. There is no BCD file in the archive. Should I make my own BCD file and extract everything into it? Thanks in advance!!!

What are you trying to burn it with. Download the trial of Nero 6 ultra, its easy as can be there. Click open CD, pick ISO from the drop down list, open the ISO you downloaded and hit burn. Took me a total of 20 minutes to burn the cd and flash the card. Thugs and aonics made it easy as can be.

Where did you order your LE 6800 from johnannie??

Also, what do I need to do to flash the BIOS. I see a self-installing floppy bios kit, so do I put those files onto a system floppy disk or a blank one. And what do I do with the CD image for the modded BIOS. Do I just use one or the other, or both??

ok, just flashed. Everything went as planned!!! I reinstalled the 66.81 and overclocket the 3D setting to 400/1100. Works great scored 3100 with my crappy old p4 1.7 and 512 of ram. Is that a good result?Olso for everyone who missed it:
How to make your card show up as a 6800 Ultra in your device manager and other programs (Credit to Aonic)
*******************************************************************************

Note: You will have to uninstall/reinstall your video drivers again after doing this.

1) Open Riva Tuner

2) Next to the gray box that says 256-bit NV40 blah blah, it says Customize on the right side. Click on that

3) Choose Low Level System Settings.

4) Go into NVStrap Driver tab, and you may have to click on install, on the bottom.

5) Where it says Graphics Adapter Identification, choose custom, and below that, in the grey box, arrow to
0040 (NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra)

6) Click apply, reboot, and reinstall drivers.

You can either burn the .iso to a disk with Nero, or run the floppy installer. Burning the disk makes it bootable, you dont need to do the bcd stuff, that is what he used to make the iso/boot disc. If you use the floppy installer, just put a blank floppy in the drive, open My Computer, right click on the drive and click format to system/boot disk, run the installer and it will make it a bootable disc that autoruns the flasher menu. Great work once again fellas!

Help. I burned the ISO boot disk using Nero.

Reboot, and I get 4 options

- Boot with emm386 (compatible)
- same emm386
- without emm386
- clean boot

huh?? I choose all of them, still cannot get Aonic's menu to come up.

For the people with the 325/700 cards from ZZF, I got a bios directly from eVGA via e-mail a little while ago that will flash your card to 325/1100. It will create a boot disk that will automatically flash, all you have to do is boot from it.

here it is

Looks like i'm going to need to RMA my card. It seems no matter what i do, my memory is totally shot. I can push the core to almost 460, but the ram won't budge past 850 without artifacts. I tried it on a different computer with adjustable rails, same crap. There is obviously something wrong with this cards GDDR and i hope i can get an equal card from the RMA.

Yah, I let it run for quite a long time, and the menu never comes up. Any more clues?

This is the error message I get

CDROM: Checking boot media type
System is *NOT* in emulation mode
CDROM: Trying Atapi...
UNPACK: Extracting "a:\lib\atapicd.cab"

That's it. It stops responding at the last line.
