Wow guys! This is my first post here, but I've been following this thread since the first page
Can someone sum up all the valuable information in this thread? Like the best things to do with this card, anyy shortcomings, etc.? I'm really interested in the card. By the way, does anyone know if Newegg will get these back?

I'd say 66.81. They give the highest framerates and best benchmark scores.

Yes, after flashing the bios you need to uninstall your video drivers, then reboot and run a driver cleaner, uninstall rivatuner, reboot.. reinstall the drivers, reboot, reinstall rivatuner/coolbits and thats it. I am using 66.81 beta drivers, seems to work fine.. some people say they are slower than others.

Slower? That's doubtful. I'd check ANY 66.81 review and all benchmarks posted higher scores. Maybe in games they might be slower, but I truly doubt it.

Anybody think this would run on my 420 watt Raidmax PSU? It's the PSU that came with the Scorpio 868.

Vally, the dual dvi does not work in GT bios becuase a real GT does not have dual DVI's so use a ultra bios if you need dual dvi

I think its a Ramdac issue maybe. I don't think they are working. But its a broken card and is going back.

ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a ZZF card. Flashed with Ultra 1.4 and all went well. Installed 66.81 drivers directx 9.0c. Everything seems to work well in 2d and with movies in VMR9. No overclocking.

Everytime I try to game or run Aquamark3 I get a blue screen with a hard reboot.

Aquamark always quits at frame 577. It seem to go well in the beginning 55+fps until the ship goes over the first hump and then it goes to single digit fps and locks.

WTF is up wit dat?

Any suggestions?

that means your card cant handle the overclock

by using ultra bios you are puttin 425/1100 instead of 325/700 or 1100

thought the ultra bios was 350 also.. even a stock ultra is only 400 isnt it? only the special ultras, and the BFGOC come 425 i think.

I have tried setting the 3d settings to 325/700 and still get the same problems. I have also gotten an error about the ?nv?????.dll.

Should I reflash?

your post sounded like you flashed to a real ultra bios.. you should of said thugs ultra or LE-U14

Hey there. I'm sorry for being annyoing, but there have been so many releases that I don't know which one to save. I am currently running Thugs' GT-U14.rom. Is that on your new boot disk under a different name?
Also, what is the stock voltage for an LE AND an ULtra?

They are the same, except they set your speeds to 400 in the bios, instead of having to oc it. If you have run your card at 400/1100 with no problems for a while, you can switch to this new bios.. the main advantage is, when you change drivers and stuff you won't have to reoverclock the card to get your speeds back. IIRC the stock voltage on a LE is 1.3 and an Ultra is 1.4.

give it a shot. Im running one of the 4 cards i bought in my duallie Xeon Rig, two 2.8 xeons @ 3.6ghz, and the 6800 EVGA card clocked @ 475x1250 with the ultra bios All running on a FORTRON 300 watt Aurora series power supply. The 300 watt fortron weighs a pound more than an Antec True 550!!!

No one's computer uses 500 watts.

no they are no the same. the GT bios is now 1505 instead of 1502 and Ultra is 1507

o ya and this boot disk uses DR-DOS from eVGA's official flash disk
and it also uses the same tool / command evga uses to flash the cards

so it should help those people who couldnt flash their cards before

What do you mean 1502, or 1507 etc? Are these new revisions? I was wondering if Thugs would offer a bios that has 400 stock speed so that you never have to use RT or Coolbits to overclock but can just simply 'set it and forget it'.

Is that what these new drivers are?

actually base speeds do have a limited effect on the card.
going from 350mhz to 400mhz does not raise idle temps on these files.

flashing and booting 400mhz is very very easy, nobody should have a problem with that. its the getting it to run 3d apps part thats gonna be tough

yes all files are new and based on new revs.
yes a few minor changes were made for reasons explained in my previous post.


all the new files are in Aonics brand new ultra sleek flashdisk available in his sig.

yes they will run better for most ppl.
performance is the same, might get a slightly better OC, more stable.

if you are having any problems, you should definately try the new files.
