Well I've got Antec True Power 430W, so when coolbits starts bitchin about too high clocks something is definetly wrong with card's memory..

The new bios was mailed to me but I cannot play any games with the clocks turned up at all over defult at all and when I play I have little white boxes all over the place if you look in the distance and in NASCAR the cars all have little whait boxes flashing all through them. This card played these games fine till I flashed to this new 1100 mhz bios now artifacting everwere. I really think the 700 mhz zipzoomfly cards are defective as to many people are having the same problems with them.

They are not defective, they just ran at memory clocks lower than stating, that's all. It's called "missrepresenting advertised produkt" or something like that.You can actually downclock memory and it will work fine, but you won't be happy probably anyway.

yes all files are new and based on new revs.

So Aonic and Thugs, are these new 400 core BIOSes with new revisions 'tweaked and modified' as you did on the old ones Thugs? Or are they straight from eVGA, soon to be modified?

I think some of us are trying to figure out if we can safely try these new ones and not worry about any OCing, or use the old 325 ones and OC manually afterwards...

Am I just lucky? Im running this card on a cheap 350 watt duramax case and everything is fine. I put this card on full power 8/16 on every game even doom and its running fine with nothing that i notice wrong. Also if I flash the card, will the warranty be cancel?

hey a slight update. I decided to try the BFG 6800 ultra OC bios and so far some good results. My 3dmark05 went up from about 4800 to 5350 and my 3dmark03 went up from about 10500 to 13200. So some good improvements plus I don't have to worry about clocking etc after driver changes etc...

BFG and eVGA both use nVidia reference bios files ~ ive tried them both, and they are the same.

ive also tried other makers bios files, they are slower.

not too many stones ive left unturned.....

my current offerings are the best ones.

My stock was @ 325/700.

Used Thug and Aonic's new set of bios -> LE-GT 1.4

Followed the steps of reinstalling drivers and such. Used coobits.reg.

The new speed is @ 400/1100. Artifacts even at the start of 3DMark 05.
Tried to underclock, but the coolbits kept saying that I couldn't pass any of the tests.

Any idea?

I can't even underlock to 325/1100. Keeps saying that I failed the tests in Coolbits.
What should my 2D settings be at?

I did test changes @ 325/1100, and says clock frequency too high.

btw, what should be my AGP voltage in Bios settings?


btw, does that Game XP adds any junk or modify anything ?

Aonic, do you have to first format the floppy as a system disk and then execute your file? Or does executing the file take care of all that for you and even formats the floppy?

no,
the only difference between them and us, is that they have a much better bios editor then we do

Vally. it formats and installs DR-DOS(meant for bios flashing) + bios files/menu to the floppy

I tried the new bios and they seem to work better for me as I can run the defults with no troble but the same peoblem with riva tuner I get a driver cannot pass test as soon as I try to move either slider 1mhz. I have the stock bios with poserstrip and have moved the memory to 1110 and ran NASCAR 2004 but still have little white boxes in the track and in the cars. Is this pixeling? It drives me nuts I don't know what to do here call them and RMA as the card did not have those white doys in that game with the 325 / 700 bios installed and they did not start till I installed the new 325 / 1100 bios from eVGA. Could that be a bad card. I only have a few games installed and nothing taxing to test with.

I have reflashed with gt1.4. Cleaned and reinstalled until blue in face and I still can't run games.
I even went back to very old system restore point.

I did notice on 3dmark2001 that I can do all test until the last one the point pixel test. I assume if it can get to there then my card is probably not the problem??

Any final suggestions before doing the total system redo??
