I got my system back up and going and am using the 61.34 drivers off the CD, and am in the early stages of getting all the win-updates excetera installed. I got a 3Dmark01 score of 13368 with 4xAA 8xAF enabled and the GTU bios installed.

The one problem I am having though is that my system hangs when I shutdown. I get a blank screen with a flashing dos curser in the left corner and it never shts down. I will try another install of the latest driver for Win98se which is the 61.76 posted on the NV website and see what happens.

i believe Aonic and i are testing the same files at the same time. (so we are on the same page) if he's found something i dont know about, he hasnt told me about it yet

we are working together as quickly as we can to debug new revisions, but obviously nothing is perfect as of yet.

yes, i used both the 1.4 and 1.5 ultra before i sent my card out, the dual DVI worked great. it actually worked better than the LE bios. for whatever reason when i changed settings i'd get a shitload of flickering. it went away though when i put the ultra bios on it.

Thugs, Vallybally & Aonic,

I can confirm that the LE-U14.rom (dtd Oct 30, 2004) version does indeed support dual DVI monitors. Also, the card is displayed as an Ultra in the nVidia BIOS screen, which is nice.

I have not found any other problems with the latest BIOS upgrades. So, I cannot imagine what Aonic has found to correct.

Thank you,
Deskstar

TY for that (DVI) confirmation.
yea, the Ultra files are working very nicely. we will have no problem releasing a final version of the LE-Ultra file.

its the GT file that has us banging our heads on our keyboards. performance is great, compatability is not. (dual dvi, some cards cant run the tighter timings, etc)

we'd really like to get the best of all worlds in 1 file tho.....

According to USPS tracking, ZZF just received my RMA.

I think my card will take a long time to come back. Cos they said that if they have no stock, they will check with manufacturer, i.e. eVGA. If eVGA don't have, then they will think of something.

Shucks. Shoud've bought a GT and save all these trouble.

May I ask what minor tweaks or changes will be in this 'final' LE-Ultra version?

Yeah, but you forget the advanteages of this card vs. a GT. For that trouble you're talking about, you get:

2 Slot Cooling: Runs cooler, lasts longer
BIOS Flash to an ultra: 95% success rate
Dual DVI
LOWER COST!

How's that for advantages!

What is eVGA going to do when they run out of LE's? Are they going to refund the purchase price...or send out upgrades ie GT or Ultras? Both seem unlikely and they don't even have them in Stock!

I guess it might be worth it some slight trouble for a good card. But this is really testing my patience.

I don't think eVGA will run out of LE's. They might have more bad Ultras in stock and change them to LE's
eVGA won't be doing the refunds. ZZF has to handle that. AFAIK, ZZF offers no refund either. Probably Ultra or GT replacements.

yep, its a known bug.
below 350mhz the temps rise.

eVGA really screwed up the bios files on these cards.
then they even screwed up their screwup.

The 61.76 drivers will shut down my machine now likwe they should, but now if I open any app, I get windows errors and other non sence

If I can't find a driver that works right, i'm ditching this thing and going back to my 9700. I'm not about to go out and spend another $100 on XP...

I picked up one of the 6800LEs from ZZF and confirmed that it's running 325/700. I've read through this thread and don't believe I have seen this mentioned but I think evga screwed up the batch of cards that ZZF is selling by loading the standard 6800 BIOS which is 325/700. The n347 BIOS they are sending to people to fix must be the same LE version found in the cards NE was selling. People seem to be having more problems with the ZZF cards so maybe this batch was a lower quality than the NE versions so evga used the standard 6800 BIOS. Oh well, who knows.

I flashed my card with the n347 version and will run some benchies to see if I have any problems. Then I plan to flash with the latest LE-Ultra 1.4 from Thugs and Aonic. Thanks for all your hard work guys.

What ZZF will do is have some limited editions shipped to them for rma purposes, I would not think they would give a gt or ultra. It clearly states replacement with same product only for there return of this product.

we are having a artifacting problem with the memory set to anything above 800 for the most part and they are suppose to run 1100 out of the box. I am wondering if they loaded the bios from the 128mg version of the LE ( not the limited edition) that does run 325 / 700 defult

I would like to use a cd cause I dont realy trust a floppy I had a few die on me before, whats the worst that could happen and would it be fixable I never flashed anything before but I would like too I'm aslo planing on using the 1.4 ultra bios cause I need the dual dvi

I burned a cd with the file that was here but it wouldnt boot from it I used nero and just chose iso from the wizard and draged that file onto it
