eVGA responded to my question about the ram artifacting, after I already did the RMA.
I guess the cards are physically defective, and there is no plans for a bios update to fix the artifacting.
Question (10/29/2004 8:18:01 PM): Earlier tonight I submitted a question
regarding the ram speed of my video card. In response I was given a bios
update that would set the ram speed to its advertised 1100mhz speed. Ever
since I updated the bios I've been getting heavy artifacts in any 3D
program. If I use a program to lower the ram back to 700mhz the artifacts
go away.
I initially thought that my power supply wasn't enough however I tested
the card in a friends computer that uses a 550watt power supply with
adjustable rails, a perfect 12 volts. Despite this my card suffers the
same artifacts.
This leads me to believe that the card is defective in some way. Is there
anything else I can do to try and get rid of the artifacts? This card is
Limited Edition, if I RMAed would I get the exact same card back or some
other equivalent?

I would recommend submitting for an RMA. You can do so from our web site
