Man what a difference IN FORUMS as I posted at ????? video card area to be careful with your cards they do not have anymore and they are forcing you to pay more for a GT and I am getting blasted that this is much better deal and get this a FAIR DEAL AND I SHOULD STOP CRYING ABOUT IT. They say you only paid 350.00 for a GT now which is better LOL and eVGA is doing the right thing and one of the people has a 6800 limited edition and says it is common practice to replace across with egual cards and another says you should get the 128 mg version with 8 pipes as that is all you paid for.

And I would tell them you bought the card mainly for Dual-DVI too. There is no reason they should be charging extra for a GT. If that's the nearest card they have to replace your defective one, then they should do it straight across.

You could tell them that if they have received one back that appeared to have no problems, but maybe was user/installer error you would accept that as a replacement.

$340 for the card, $15 to ship it to eVGA, $12 for them to send me a GT, $25 for the GT. $392.

3 weeks without a video card.

WHAT A F**CKING DEAL

I have my RMA-ed card now with the same problems as before. It is unable to complete the 3dmark 2001 test. It gives a hard reboot.

I went back through evga's recommendations for bios settings. They recommend 4MB for agp aperature size. That was the problem. I set it to 128MB and all is well.

i definetly agree with Killrose the only fair trade for both sides evga and us would be to either repair the broken LE or flash an ULTRA with the LE bios.

as for the other people having problems, missing textures, random reboots, blue screens are usually something wrong with bios setting or other bad harware. artifacts is usaully the video card's fault. just my opinion

I was sure mine had bad problems, even after a re-format. It turned out it did not like the Aureal snd card in that particular system. If it was'nt for the fact that I have a second comp here at home to try it in which had a different snd card (and it worked fine in it), I would have sent mine back fully certain I had a bad card.

I did another re-format without my lan and snd card installed so I would have to add them and load the drivers one by one and that is when I caught the problem. I am going to have to re-format once more when my WinXP OS arrives, these cards do not like Win98 at all. I'm sure some of the cards that went back RMA were for problems I had.

I also had texture problems which were curred by installing the latest chipset drivers for my motherboard. Never caused a problem with my 9700, but this card sure did not like the old ones.

now i just need to find a nice ati/halflife combo
Just curious, who will you get the refund from? ZZF said "NON-REFUNDABLE. Replacement for defective units only." on the webpage for the card. Are they refunding since they don't have a replacement? Have you talked to them yet? I'm trying to decide what to do also.

EDIT: Just noticed that ZZF has a "15% restocking fee applies to all refunds".

I cant believe how eVGA and Zipzoomfly are giving you the shaft! This is ridiculous dude. I think it's time to dispute the payment on your credit card if they don't resolve this. I dont understand where the problem is? They sold you a defective card, they HAVE to replace it for you with the same exact model. Not only that, but its SUPPOSED to be free of charge. You might even consider taking eVGA to small claims court. One time T-Mobile screwed me over with a bunch of BS charges and I took them to small claims court. They settled because it was a waste of their time to go through with. Keep updating us with latest. GOOD LUCK!

i dont understand it either its not like a card that is out of warranty its brand new. it is not a single case either they tried to pushed serveral of the 324/702 cards out. One RMA here and there is not a problem to me mistakes happen but this is ridiculous.

Well, i'm really sorry for the rest of you but i had a happy story. Apparently my campus mail room had my video card since friday! I never got an e-mail from eVGA, they just sent my new card out pronto and didn't notify me, so i asumed i hadn't gotten it yet when i already did!

Eitherway, i popped it in and i'm extremely happy, everything is in working order. I guess i got lucky with the quick application for an RMA #.

already 450x1200 without a problem, i haven't tried to go further yet, in due time.

update: there is no chance of getting a replacement 6800 LE they screwed up by not making enough and they are not going to make anymore if your card needs to be replaced at any time u will not get a 6800 LE.

their offer: 6800 GT for 25 dollars also copper heatsink, farcry or doom3, and 25 dollars credit. or refund the money not including time wasted.

the thing that really makes me mad it the guy says serveral times the 6800 LE are not downclocked ultras. he said it would not be possible to flash a new 6800 Ultra to LE.
im going to talk with someone tomorrow who is supposedy above the guy i have been talking with.

to AWhackWhiteBoy u stink

i dont think eVGA knows WTH they are doing. (still)
altho im happy with my card, ill prolly never buy another eVGA product again.

you guys that are RMAing ~ you deserve an Ultra flashed to LE as a replacement. (which is exactly what these cards are) you should not settle for less.

is there anyway to create a poll i would like to know how many people have got zzf cards with the wrong bios?

and how many people are stuck like me with a bad LE and no replacement?

also i would like to add, i asked him if they were not ultras why they came in a box that had ultra labels, documentation, two power plugins, ultra cooler, etc.. he said they are not related.

Good luck guys as they are offering more now so I guess they are being swamped with problem calls and they want the same cards back. eVGA opened a huge can of worms sending out the batch of 325 / 700 cards and then selling them at the same price.

Would that copper heatsink make a difference or is it a waste of 20.00. Does it void the warranty if you install one LOL

I still have not got my credit for the double shipping day 9 since I called them and informed them. Dispution the charges I guess on Friday so I will give them a few more days since they have the RMA issues now.

I know I will think 10 times before I buy another high dollar item like this.

no prob, its a good idea that we all join together.

it seems like we all need to be talking to Joe Darwin cause the customer service can only do so much. he is supposed to call me tomorrow.

Wow! you got an extremely good, rare one there. You need to take back all those nasty things you said about eVGA right now young man!!

I haven't pushed mine yet and probably won't because I have a 350watt PSU. I am happy with 425x1200 so far using the 1.4v Ultra bios

ElementK1, i was told by eVGA customer service that this limited edition card is no longer in stock and there are no plans to make any more cards. so if any 6800 LE break down be prepared to pay for shipping both ways and pay 25 dollars for a 6800 GT. unless we all can get them to change this.

AWhackWhiteBoy, i dont believe that u got so lucky i wonder is that stable and artifact free?
