yea its stable, but not a single MHZ over though. soon as i step up to 475 i get artifacts, same with the ram.

it partly might be due to really good case airflow and the 140CFM of airmove i have in the case, plus another 120mm fan blowing right onto the card.

Crap. I got a 5XX serial card RMA back. the box has a different 5XX serial.

It came clocked 324/702. This might be even my own card or someone else's RMA!!!
Gonna try O/C to 325/1100 or Bios flashing....

Bah to ZZF and eVGA if this thing is still broken!!!!!!!!!!! :|

UPDATE 1: Coolbits passed the 325/1100 O/C (unlike my first one) But crap, same artifacts in EQ2!!!!

Man this baby is getting ugly.

I will have to push a bit harder to get my return shipping back I see as if you read there waranty it stats they will pay to have the card shipped back to you for a defective card within 30 days of purchase but to get a RMA you have to pay upfront and I got charged twice.

I am sure glad I paid to get my RMA there faster so I could get a 6800 Limited edition back from them. Maybe I got lucky on this one finely as everything I get lately is doa like a enermax fan that should run at 2300 mine ran at 1800 RPM.

Flash to the oficial eVGA bios and see then. I read someone else got a 324/ 700 back from somewear but flashed to 325/ 1100 bios from factory and it worked fine. Give it a shot as it could be a bad bios and not the card it self

You should have made a copy of the serial number you had or it is on the RMA form I beleive.

LoL RACEFAN. I was thinking the same exact thing. Rarely do I ever get lucky and have things go my way. Its like I'm waiting for something bad to happen to this card. For you guys who are having problems with eVGA, again I would recommend taking them to small claims court. Trust me when I say they will take care of things real quick when they see the lawsuit. Its not something they will feel like dealing with. If I were you Id sue for 500.00 for time and money wasted. You're allowed to sue up to $4,999 in small claims court (in California) Good Luck!

Make sure you have the latest bios and chipset drivers for your motherboard. I had some artifacts while running 3dmark01 with 4xaa 8xaf and upgrading my MB chipset drivers took care of it.

i really dont know how the legal stuff works but doesnt the goverment sue for all of the people who have got the bait and switch. my example would be all those people who sued ford for the tires coming apart.

Yes, it's called a class-action lawsuit and they are filed all the time. Lawyers love them. Companies hate them. They can be easy or hard to file depending on which state you're in.

Well go figure! The second I start talking about how much good luck I have....my freakin card starts showing artifacts like before! Im currently reinstalling older drivers, and maybe reflash to the original bios. I am soooo pissed of right now....its almost funny. :|

UPDATE:

I removed the 66'81 drivers and reinstalled the 61'77 drivers, and everything SEEMS ok. Ran 3dmark'03 and no artifacts. Im gonna go run some more tests to see if it happens again. I havent flashed back to the original bios, but I think Im going to anyways, not worth th risk. These cards are a headache.

UPDATE 2:
This card is a piece of Sh**. Started doing it again....Oh well....im fed up.

UPDATE 3:
Ok I installed thugs bios 350/1100 on everything seems fine as of now. I dont know whats going on with this thing. At first I thought it acted up at any mem speed over 1000, but now everything seems fine after running some tests. I dont know, maybe the card is getting hot? I opened my window the card seems fine now. Maybe its showing signs of going bad? Anyone know what could cause the card to keep changing up like this? Im gonna try flashing back to the 400/1100 bios and see how it runs then.

Make sure you have the newer drivers for you motherboard and everything else and also check the bios settings you have versus the bios settings eVGA has posted oin there web site.

Reseat the card also or remove it and run system with old card then do the brand new install thing again. it helped me out with this my problem I had a first of a totally black screen

I noticed over on the BE forums that the LE-> GT bios is gone from the thread, and only the LE->ultra bios remains.

Was the move to a single bios successful? or are you guys still working on the final GT bios?

Thanks for the great work!

I guess I will need to try that. I am sick of this already. This is taking much more time and energy than I would want. I rather spend my time playing EQ2 with my trusty Ti4200.

Would updating your mobo bios help? Maybe reinstalling nForce2 drivers will help.

Not added earlier: I am totally pissed. I didn't add this earlier, but the RMA box from ZZF was already and opened one. Plastic was torn, and box had been opened before. The serial number on the box DOES NOT MATCH the serial on the card. I am gonna try to call ZZF and ask for a full refund.

yes, the LE-Ultra bios is 100%.

LE-GT bios is still being worked on ~ but with all these LE problems ppl are having im not gonna release the faster GT versions till it is also 100%. (dual dvi doesnt work with GT bios, and a few other monitor related probs)

i would rather import the GT timings into an Ultra bios for better compatability, but that hasnt happened yet.

This is crappy. I requested 2nd RMA from ZZF and for them to test it before shipping. Not even sure how smart they are to test it at 325/1100. I wonder if I should just go for the $25 upgrade to GT. sick of this crap.

They absulotely won't do any refunds. Does eVGA accept refunds?
So eVGA's stance right now is only accepting the $25 upgrade to GT?

This is probably what has plagued most people with complaints. And like me, people need to be prepared to re-format and remove hardware that will/can cause conflicts, like sound cards

Sigh, you might be true. Just that its funny that it runs well at 325/700 and not at 1100.

quote from evga warranty card , "1. Labor: For a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, if this product is determined to be defective, eVGA.com will repair or replace at its option, at no charge to the original buyer. After the expiration of the warranty period, you must pay for all labor /replacement charges."

let me repeat, eVGA.com will repair or replace at its option, at no charge to the original buyer

UPDATE: "eVGA.com has set aside the 6800 GT and is allowing you to step-up to this card for only $25.00, this is better than ½ of what the normal step-up would normally cost you. In addition you will also receive the eVGA.com copper heat sink installed on y our GT card and an additional $50.00 eVGA.com bucks for the inconvenience." , quoted from Joe Darwin Director of Technical Marketing
