6800 limited edition owners I have a question I just played NHL2005 for the first time and noticed some pixeling on only one teams jersey in the same place on every team mate also but not anywere else in the gam. I have played other games with no problems except NFSU2 where there is pixeling but everybody has that from what I have read.

Well, just an updated on the broken eVGA cards. Managed to get a full refund. Well, I lost costs in the shipping.
And dumbly, they credited $10 less than my original purchase price. So gonna ask them to credit that $10 or
my credit company shall do the honors of handling everything else.

Me? Me and my brother bought 6800 LEs, but I couldn't have the memory clock past 850 without artifacts, so I did the $25 for a 6800 GT, doom3, copper heatsink, and $50 evga bucks.

My brother's 6800 LE had close to the specs advertised, so he kept his and flashed a GT bios on it and runs it easily at 425/1100.

Basically my 6800 GT is the same as my brother's 6800 LE, so I am satisfied.

I wanted to go for 6800 GT. But when I heard they are refunding for full I went for it.
I also got a $5 credit for the shipping costs I made. So I did lose some, but not too much.

I decided to go for a full upgrade in 2005, changing motherboards and stuff. So this is a good
refund. That way I can go for a totally new system and gfx card.

An experience to learn... never buy something that's not too guaranteeed. Too much hassle
to handle.

I just flashed to the new GT bios and not I cannot overclock it at all not 1 mhz more using riva tuner or driver level . I read there is a glitch in this huge thread but cannot find it so can someone point me there or give me the solution.

I have the nforce 6.14 drivers and the new 70.20 drivers installed fresh. I removed drivers and then used driver clean then booted in safe mode and ran driver clean again and the cleaned all caps then rebooted . I then rebooted and flashed card and rebooten and then installed the nforce drivers then the video drivers and then riva.

I am going to try powerstrip.

Update
I installed powerstrip and it lets me overclock. Just will not push it past maybe 425 / 1150 but I usually don't overclock the card anyway.

update 2
Artifacts at stock 350 / 1100 settings using the gt bios. No artifacts at stock bios. Go figure. I will have to tru the looser timing ultra bios.

Update 3
Flashed to the ultra 350 / 1100 and no artifacting. Maybe it was a bad flash for the GT flash but one thing for sure the temps run hotter like 61 degrees while gaming.

Is the 400 / 1100 ultra bios the 1.5V version?

I used the 350 / 1100 so I hope it is the 1.4 volt version.

The cards havnt been at newegg for a while. They were limited edition, you probably wont ever see them on sale at any retailer again. Your best bet is ebay, but thats risky. A good size batch of bad cards when out, and ccan't be easily RMAed since eVGA doesnt have any more. If you missed out, bummer, but I woudl just take your lumps and buy a 6800GT. Ebay is to risky, and if you find one, tahts the only place its going to be.

the mem prolly just cant handle the tighter timings of the GT bios.
if the Ultra file is working fine for you, you should stick with it.

What happens if someone has to RMA one of these limited cards ??..You think EVGA has some stocked or will you just get a GT or Ultra ??

eVGA has no more. If you needed an RMA, they offered you a GT if you paid $25. Thats BS IMO, they should have to replace the card with something equal or better for no charce, but thats the way it is.

Damn that sucks...well since EVGA cards have a year warranty, I guess they would so that RMA on a GT doing the whole warranty ?

I had a very strange thing happen today. I was showing my brother the inside of my computer case when I had an Nvidia Pop-up flash on my screen saying, "Your video card is not getting enough power" Has anyone else seen this? I have never seen it....ever! I am running an Antec 550 Watt with 2 lines going directly to the card. VERY strange. ---By the way, the card is running perfectly. Anyone have any thoughts or comments?

I have had that happen once to, on a 5950U. I have a PC Power and Cooling TurboCool 450, so it wasnt due to lack of power. I THINK what it was in my case was the chord just came loose. Could have been teh same with you. Taking of the side panel or something coudl have cause one to come loose just enough to stop supplying power. As long as you dont see it again, no worries.

Wow, long bump there. Forgot aobut this thread. Since its back though, I though I would post, my card seems to be deteorating. I ran it 425x1100, temps were fine, it was stable. Then, after a few weeks, it wasnt stable. Ran it at 400x1100, which worked fine. Now just the other day, that proved not stable eaither. I am slowly working my way back to GT speeds I guess.
