Sold out! Damnit! I had one in my cart then had to take a phone call, and I came back to check out, and it said my cart was empty! I went back to the product page and it had the "auto-notify" button. Darn. I guess I'll wait for the Black Friday deals at Bestbuy!

Damn! not good to hear for me. I just got mine today and am most likely going to RMA it. It idles at around 60-61 and has funky multicolor lines running across the right half of the screen. I'm not sure what's causing it, since under clocking it to 300/1000 doesn't change things at all. Running it in an open case lowers the temps to ~57, but the lines still stick around. Hopefully I can get my money back since apparently I can't get a replacement.

Hey guys first timer here. I recieved my card today and everything checked out "normal" I guess you can say with rivatuner. 1096/325 was what the card was reading. Everything seemed fine until I ran Far Cry. The game looked HORIBBLE. Couldnt see anything from all the scribbling graphics. I went ahead and lowered my mem to 950 and everything seems to check out fine. Do you guys think its a cooling problem? Im getting my NV5 Silencer tomorrow, so hopefully itll fix the problem. My core temps run around at 55. Any help would be appreciated. Oh and take it easy on a Noob if I said anything that sounded dumb.

It always said 700Mhz GDDR3 on newegg's site, but everyone's been receiving cards with 1.1GHz mem

If you want to, check to make sure the heatsink is making proper contact. That could be the reason for these cards having problems and ending up as "limited editions".

Uh oh. Looks like the specs changed to 700MHz GDDR3
The specs have always been 700MHz, but folks have been reporting 1100 out of the box.

Could the reported probs with screen corruption be power related? What kind of P/S you guys using and do you have both molex connectors utilized?

Regards,
Zen

It's possible it's power related. I've got a seasonic 350 watt supply and have gutted the system so only the mobo, hard drive, and card are running right now, but I'm still having the same glitches. I can get rid of them if I drop the resolution down to <1280x1024 though. Not so good since my 2001fp likes 16x12 much better. Also, the fan on the card never spins down. I've got the case open with an extra fan blowing onto the card so it's at 52C idle, and the fan is still going full tilt. I'll pick up another power supply from work tomorrow and plug that into the molex connectors to see if that fixes things. If so, I guess a psu upgrade is in order....but I'm still concerned about the fan never slowing down and the card idleing at 60 if there's not another fan blowing on it.

Well Im running a case that has a 430psu. Im not sure if thats "true power" or just stated power. Ive heard people say that some PSU's dont state the true PSU, dont know if that applies to me or not. Thanks for the reply.

Hmm. If the copper cooler is better, why didn't they include that to begin with? (Yes, this is rhetorical).

Say Cannabis, were you able to remove the metal plate that you hacksawed? I see one screw on the bottom that connects in directly on the board and the only other screws I can see are whats used to screw your monitor connection into the DVI connectors, the 4 holes on both sides of the DVI connections. Could those 4 "tighteners" be unscrewed, iare there any hidden screws that I wouldn't be able to reach?

Well I have one of these and it is the same as a ultra except for the gpu clock it is 325.
Will it clock to ultra speeds no at 400 it locks up, stable at 390. The bios is weird it shows to be a 6800
core at 400 and memory at 1100. with a no vendor name? however it does not boot to 400 it is 325?.
probably needs to be flashed to a ultra bios.
It does have the 16 pipes and 6 shaders. 3d volts 1.4 just like the ultra.
stock scores with Prescott 2.8@3.5 (water) and p4p800d (a64 here tomorrow)
aquamark 57239 (stock) overclock 385 core 1225 mem. (air) 61045
mark 05 4317
mark03 10773
Keep you updated!
next, ultra bios?
