sorry if this has been asked, but what exactly did you change? The Ultra 1.5 bios has me totally stable at 425/1400. Is there any reason for me to reflash?

I think I have an OPEN_GL problem.

I reflashed back to stock BIOS and still got lockup in aquamark and CS. I tried CS in D3D mode and ran fine for 15 mins. Therefore I don't think it is a hardware problem, but a software problem. I reflashed to Thugs gt1.3 now.

I am using the 66.81 drivers. I cleaned with nvclean.

I had an ATI card in the computer before I installed the 6800. Is it possible one or more of the files did not get removed or overwritten.

Just as a point...something that could solve a lot of problems...before you install your LE, reformat. It solves most framerate and stability issues. Therefore, you're GUARANTEED a clean driver install. Just a thought.

Use NVflash instead of wfflash. I had the same problem. Unfortunately even after flashing I still can't get the ram above 800.

check one of my posts a little while back,i offer a bios flashing boot disk i got directly from eVGA that will flash your card to 325/1100. if it still doesn't work properly then, i'd say RMA it. I'll be RMAing mine come monday.

Well it does not matter whether you try evga-sent BIOS or the one wich guys here are providing. It's crystal clear, memory is unable to run at proposed speeds.Just one concern- will seller recognize that BIOS was changed from 325/700 to 325/1100(like it declarde and should be) or their will find exuse to not let RMA it?
As for me,if they refund money I will go for GF 6800 GT..

Here are my update benchmarks. I have not flashed the bios of the card and it was default at 325/1100. I OC it to 350/1100 using default bios on card. I am also not OCing my cpu.

3dmark03 - 11011
3dmark05 - 4503
Doom3 16x12 high - 62.7
aqua3 60425

Im just curious if this seems about right for my card. I see some really good scores here, I was just curious with a small OC and stock bios did these scores right.

thx..

The driver failed to pass internal test with the clock frequencey are about to set please decrease setings and try again. I tried to set it to 270 core and get the same message.

Help me please as this is driving me nuts.

ZZF has some weird cards, and eVGA knows this so they released a new bios that updates it to 1100 memory and 325 core. that bios i posted is RIGHT FROM eVGA. so flashing it to that will enable you to RMA without a problem.

We both have the exact problem, i can't put my memory past 800mhz otherwise i get crazy artifacts. If i keep my memory at 800 i can easily run a 460 core(probably higher,i haven't tried). memory is junk, hence why they probably clocked them at 700.

It seems only a small percentage of the cards are having this problem. Most people are running 1100 memory with no problem. If your card wont run without artifacts at 1100 in any BIOS, then I would say put a regular LE bios on it (either one should be fine) and RMA it. Don't blame it on eVGA or ZZF.. this sort of thing happens with any type of hardware.

same here, after flashing with the 400/1100 bios, the card still shows up as a 350/1100. I tried both GT and Ultra all versions. Oh well back to the old 1.4 gt-le for me.

My memory in my problem as it will not run over 901 as I get test failed at 902 but passes everytime at 901 and I had the core up to 430 and it passed untill I changed the memory to 902 and it failed every time

RMA TIME FOR ME AND I WILL NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING ELSE NOW JUST TO GET SOME SCREEN SHOTS TO PROVE IT.

Guys go figure this out I have the reflashed to the new offical eVGA 6800 bios back in 324 / 1097 and now I changed the clock in riva tuner to 400 / 1097 and it passes every time so maybe this new bios is a super tweek or just a better version.

What power supplies are you guys using that cant get over 900mhz? I know when I had the 1.4v bios i couldnt get over 1080 on the mem clock, switching to the 1.5 gave me enough juice to hit 1100. My psu is crappy, its 400W, but only 16A on the 12v rail. Really not enough for the card, but it works. If you are using a really weak PSU, you may not be giving your card enough power to reach the clock speeds.

racefan:
Try to run Nalu demo for a couple of minutes, than we'll see. If you don't have any black dots in that chick's hair, I'll reflash my BIOS too
BTW can you show the link to that new BIOS? Thanx.
Rhagz:
Well I've got Antec True Power 430W, so when coolbits starts bitchin about too high clocks something is definetly wrong with card's memory..

I use a 480Watt PSU with a 27A rail. To be absolutely certain, i tried the card in my friends PC with uses the OCZ 550watt PSU ith adjustable rails. A rock solid 12V. Same shit.
