this better not be true, i refuse to settle for a GT, i need to have dual DVI. if i get hassled and end up with nothing after all of this then i'm seriously giving up on graphics all together. i've had such sh*t luck all before this card 10 folds, and if this turns out as you say it will just top the cake.

f**k video cards.

I cannot beleive that they are out of cards. I would not pay the 25.00 I would call them and tell them to give you the card as it is not your problem they do not have any more. This would also stand in your favor if you called the better buessness burea also as how will they cover there 1 year waranty are they just going make you pay more and get the gt that you could have bought outright if you wanted it.

Don't feel real bad as I still have not received the credit for the free shipping back as they charged me twice in one day for the shipping over a week ago and I keep getting we are looking into it but they are aware of the problem but not creding my charge back.

The way I see it they cannot support the 1 year waranty and now he has to pay 25.00 more for a GT that if he wanted he would have bought outright. Man that is bull and you know it and what is sad here is we the consumers are the ones being shafted by a company that shipped defective cards knowing quite well you could not know the card was a 325 / 700 speed unless you knew about rivatuner and overclocked your card but shipped and sold as a 325 / 1100 as that is call bait and switch which is shady to even say loosely. Now you cannot get a replacement card for a defective card right out of the box but you have to pay them 25.00 more for a upgrade that should be free. That takes b-lls alone to even suggest that.

He needs to report them to somebody so that is what they are there for to protect us consumers from shady dealings like what they are now pulling supposly.

I had a Gainward card go bad after I had it for 11 months and I called them and my card was no longer being made as they had upgraded it to a better card so they sent me the brand new better version FREE OF CHARGE AND DID NOT CHARGE ME SHIPPING TO SHIP THE CARD BACK TO ME OR EVEN TRY TO DO THAT.

Never mind I guess just deal with e-vga yourself's and live with a 25.00 upgrade to a GT if that is what you want to settle for.

Yes, i agree, the shipping is BS, and if they call me and tell me they don't have LEs i intend to haggle. A friend of mine has delt with eVGA before and they gladdly upgraded him since they didn't have any geforce4s made anymore. I intend to op for the same treatment and nag about the shipping costs, also.

Worst comes to worse i'll ask for the defective card back and a discount off its price. I already stated I refuse to settle for GT because i simply must have dual DVI.

RMA coming tomorrow. Hope it is not messed up. I might actually sell that 6800LE even if it works. Took 3 weeks just to get a gfx card?? I am bored already.
My trusty Ti4200 seems to be working just fine with EQ2, just some lag here and there. Probably need RAM upgrade.

well i decided to just take the refund, i asked them in 2 phone calls to upgrade for an ultra and the only way is $500 minus the price i paid for my LE. i still cant believe how lame this is first giving a lot of bad cards downclocked hoping no one would notice and then giving out RMA numbers with no cards to back them up. I am never buying from eVGA agian

I called eVga this morning and got the same as everyone else. They are out of limited editions. So I paid the $25 more for the GT. They did however wave the shipping. Yes this sucks, but the way I see it is I'm getting a card that did not fail any tests. The Limited edition was a great deal for those that got good ones. But for the rest of us who paid $25 more for a GT we got exactly what we paid for. A GT for $399

So how long would you have to wait until eVGA gets new LE's in so you can get an RMA card? Or are they even planning on getting more in? Maybe itll be worth holding on to them if they are expecting more cards anytime soon.

Start from the beginning of the thread. These were 256mb DDR3/1.6ns with the ULTRA Cooler set-up and even Ultra GPU's under the heatsink. For $325 they were a steal while they lasted, for those who did not have warranty issues anyway's.

to my understanding the 6800 LE was a one shot deal. so that means that if anymore LE go bad ur going to have to trade for a GT.

although i would not be surprised if they came out with a 6800 LE in the pci express version

im going to try one more time to get an ultra. i think its fair for how we have been treated. just one last comparison.

6800 LE- ultra pcb, ultra core at 325mhz, 1.6ns ram at 1100mhz, ultra cooler, dual dvi.

there upgrade* for $25
6800 GT - 350mhz core, slower ram at 1000mhz, one dvi.

am i missing anything?

I would whine about the fact that the card was warrantied for a year which means they are liable for an exact replacement. Tell them to pull an Ultra and throw in that crappy downclocked bios and ship it to you

And I would tell them you bought the card mainly for Dual-DVI too. There is no reason they should be charging extra for a GT. If that's the nearest card they have to replace your defective one, then they should do it straight across.

You could tell them that if they have received one back that appeared to have no problems, but maybe was user/installer error you would accept that as a replacement.
