I apologized to people I offended already. But, Hamburgerboy should apologize such for basically acting like a cock. I still feel like he didn't read my OP. He wasn't the only one who didn't though apparently. In my OP I was just questioning that method of buying gifts for people, I've never heard of it before, It was new to me, and sounded odd, but that's all. I'm not mad at my buddy at all, I'm just presenting the question asking if that was a common thing to do. Then everyone got their panties in a twist and went nuts on me. I wasn't whining, bitching, or ranting. It just struck me as an odd thing to do. I mentioned I don't care if i ever play the xbox or not, people just skipped over that line apparently. I could of definitely written out the OP better, but I don't find it to be offensive in anyway. Maybe I unkowingly touched on some religious thing. The words 'whining' and 'bitching' are used way too much these days. I've read over my OP carefully and can tell you I wasn't doing either.

I know now that what they're doing with the Xbox360 is a common thing people do all the time for gifts, I can see by the replies of this thread. Just because it doesn't seem odd to you doesn't mean I won't think it's an odd thing at first. But I now have no problem with it at all, I really don't care about it, and never did care much about it. If that's how people do things at Christmas, I'm 110% fine with that. If he decides to take back his 360 because he changes his mind, I would have no problem with that either.

I'm going to buy a Wii for xmas, and I'm positive my buddy will be over to play it a lot, and I'll even get a controller for him, with no worries. I've been over at his house maybe 20 minutes in the past 5 years or so. He always comes over here to play games (PS2, Dreamcast, Gamecube, anything really) and I don't mind that at all, I don't feel like he's leeching off me or something. It's just something fun to do. All I want is for us to have something fun to do, and Xbox 360 is something kinda new, and would provide that.

I hate arguing, but I feel I have to defend myself in this case, i've been mucho wrongfully accused.

The issue isn't the fact that you play with your friend's toys and that he plays with your's. It's lines like "Yes, of course I want to play it and that's why I'm kind of TO'd about it, we really don't have any other games to play right now" that make you sound like a spoiled kid. Calling it crazy to wait on opening Christmas presents makes it seem even more so.
