Are you bastards enjoying yourselves?

Yes. Best MMO i've played since WoW for me. The game is fun, visuals are amazing, runs smooth at max settings. Quests are actually fun, voiceovers (I like that but some find it a waste of dev time).

I really dig this game.

And yesterday I relaunched Skyrim to continue with Dawnguard and damn I got some kind of a headache lol...In ESO I play third person but in Skyrim I play first person...couldn't get far before quitting heheh. I'll have to get used to it again.

I like the game, lots of pvp potential, hope they work on it. The one thing that is annoying is the UI..especially bags. Lucky addons fix lots of the issues.

It's funny, I know, but that awful UI is one of the main things I didn't like about the game. Aside from all the many usability issues it just doesn't feel to me like it belongs in the game. It's somewhat immersion-busting. I'll have to check out some of the add-ons.

These are the following add-ons I use from ESO UI.

TESO Essentials
- grab the pack, see what is in it and look for updates for the individual items as the pack is just someone that grabs a few different add-ons and puts them into a big zip. Many of them haven't been updated in awhile. Not that they need to be. I'll list the ones that have been updated that I have added in as well. There are a few things you'll have to turn on though. The basic quest tracker from the game you will want to turn off in the settings and type /qt to turn on the updated multi quest tracker provided in this add-on pack. Also, I love the small status bar that shows all sorts of stuff from FPS, exps to go, time until next horse feeding, time until next research slot open and so on. You'll have to play with the settings to adjust it to how you like it.
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info75-TESOEssentials.html

Lorebook - this is updated outside of the essentials pack. Latest one has more book locations added.
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info288-LoreBooks.html

ZrMM (Mini Map) Modified
- Adds a mini map to the screen. I set my size to 300, the pin size to 27, and moved it to the upper right corner of the screen.
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info142-ZrMM-Modified.html

Mundus Map - Adds mundus stone pin locations to the map similar to how skyshards adds skyshards and lorebooks adds lorebooks. It also tells you what the mundus stone buff you'll receive if you hover over the icon.
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info257-MundusMap.html

Treasure Maps
- Like the above it adds the pin locations of treasure spots to the map.
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info202-TreasureMaps.html

Harvest - this adds harvestable node pins to the map
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info57-HarvestMapEsoheadMarkers.html

SkillPointsSpent - Adds how many skillpoints based upon category to the K skill screen. Useful little tidbit of info
www.esoui.com/downloads/info303-SpentSkillPoints.html

Greyminds Quickslot bar
- Adds a quickslot bar with assignable hotkey setup for the Q potion scroll wheel. Basically the potion scroll wheel where you add potions and other consumables you can now setup hotkeys to toggle for ready to use. It's not perfect but far better than the current game mechanic. I set it up so that the F1-F8 keys are assigned. I press F1 to select health potion, then Q to use the potion. If I need magicka potion I press F2 and then Q to use. Works a whole lot better in combat than that stupid wheel.
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info258-GreymindQuickSlotBar.html

Foundry Tactical Combat (FTC) - Nice set of combat add ons. Adds new HMS (Health Magicka Stamina bars) as well as scrolling combat text. By default it also turns off the normal healthbar target frame, but I like that on as well. Some of the fun stuff is auto hiding your helmet outside combat and putting it back on when in combat. Same with sheathing weapons. Also tries to let you know when you should be moving, blocking, or interrupting. Not perfect, but helps.
www.esoui.com/downloads/info28-FoundryTacticalCombat.html

Rainbow reticle
- make your reticle turn colors based on the target under the reticle
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info118-ExterminatusRainbowReticle.html

Buff tracker - This is the one I use and turn off the one from the TESO essentials pack. This is a bit more useable
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info396-Srendarr-AuraampBuffTracker.html

Compass Combat Indicator - Makes the compass flash your color of choice when in combat.
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info297-SRCombatIndicator.html

Jumper - If you are in a guild this addon lets you jump to yourself Which is basically a free recall to the nearest wayshrine.
http://www.curse.com/teso-addons/teso/jumper

Research Assistant - Helps a TON when you go back to town and need to do some inventory management in determining what to keep, sell, research, or deconstruct.
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info111-ResearchAssistant.html

AI Research Grid - Basically an in game spreadsheet of your researching.
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info265-AIResearchGrid.html

Dragon Loot - lets you see what everyone else in your group is looting
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info18-DragonLoot-SimpleLootAddon.html

A nice list. the ones I like to use are
Advanced Filters in your inventory when say under armor, you can filter it more down to legs, belts, arms etc
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info245-AdvancedFilters.html

LootDrop - Shows the items in bottom right corner
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info35-LootdropContinuedAllinOne.html

BankStuffer - auto adds items from inventory to stacks in bank
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info210-BankStuffer.html

BatmanStoreFilter - adds additional filter option to guild store
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info193-BatmanStoreFilter.html
Plus two addons to that one
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info272-TraitstonespatchforBatmanStoreFilter.html
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info275-BatmanStoreFilter-AllItemTypeFilters.html

Azurah - Interface Enhanced - Allows the moving of more of the stock interface
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info199-Azurah-InterfaceEnhanced.html

Im on the verge of getting this game. I just dont want to pay 60 PLUS a monthly fee. =/

If Star Citizen DFM would hurry up and come out I could avoid spending more money to scratch my gaming itch.

Those are nice too. Don't see mself useing the batmanstorefilter as I don't buy stuff from the guild shop. I also won't use lootdrop with dragon loot. Kind of redundant. Others certainly are nice though.

To be fair, if you are in a Guild you can jump to anyone you want anyway, so if you are uncomfortable with the Jumper add on you don't need it.

Does the Interface Enhanced Add on let you move the group window? It bugs me I cannot move it.

I think the only add on I have that is not mentioned is
pchat
It allows you to keep the chat permenantly shown which I like (I hate the text disappearing as I miss things!) it also time stamps the messages so you know when someone said stuff.

Regarding Multiquest Tracker, I actually gave up on that because I found it was too buggy and lacked any update support. It was also reported to be causing some lag issues. But mainly it was the fact the stupid thing would decide to 'tag' random quests rather than focus on the one you select specifically (while the tracker lets you list multiple quests it doesn't let you focus on more than one and it liked to randomly change that to confuse the hell out of you)

pchat is part of the essentials pack I posted.

G2A has it for $38 You are welcome.

I don't get guilds in this game, I've never been invited to a guild at all. I don't even know if people are in guilds..lol

You guys able to play crash free? I was crashing a bit so they send me a fix (port forwarding) and it worked great for a few days but now I can't play at all. It takes 5-6 attempts to log in without an error and then it crashes within minutes. They aren't as quick to reply this time and with my free month expiring soon I may not renew since I won't pay to crash repeatedly... I'm swapping ISP in late May so may just resub then if I can't play

Ha, no, I would not be uncomfortable with it.

Doesn't matter anymore, Jumpers functionality was removed with yesterday's patch. The function JumpToGuildMember() no longer takes your character's name as a parameter.

I don't think I have had a crash since the first couple of days of early access. Occasionally I will lock up on loading screens and have to phsically kill the program but that is pretty rare.

On a different note, the May 1st state of the game looks really promising for cool new features and content coming (hopefully) this year.

Never had a crash with the game. I've had a couple forced logouts to the character screen due to an overloaded zone, but that was in the first few days of the Head Start period. The only time I'm kicked out of the game now is when they take the servers down for maintenance or a patch.

Had a great time tonight in VR Spindlecluth. Finished it with 3 of us at VR2 and 1 at VR3. We tried this once before when we were all VR1 and couldn't get past the 2nd boss, mostly due to a dps check because one of the dps had just hit VR1 and was still sporting some crap gear lol.

This time around it was so much easier. I have the 3pc warlock set for magicka flood and went with a healing lineup of (1) power of the light for dps boost for bosses (2) Extended Ritual (3) Mutagen (4) Breath of Life (5) spear shards (U) Rememberance. I swap out #5 for Repentance on trash pulls and bosses with adds.

For 2nd boss, start with power of the light and just kept up extended ritual and mutagen and spammed breath of life during the aoe phase then popped a potion. Rinse and repeat and save Rememberance for the final 20%.

Got two purple vr5 pieces: boots and 2h mace. Pretty damn fun night

I'm getting ready to hit VR content on my NB. I think it's time to start looking for a guild. Is anyone here part of an EP guild they could recommend?

Well since I've been slow and meticulous, I've done pretty much every quest, grabbed every skyshard, grabbed every local, grabbed all the lorebooks I could, hit every dungeon, and pretty much done every achievement I could reasonably do I've made it to level 48 just as I finished the storyline to take me to Cold Harbor. Which means I'll still be doing Cold Harbor quests by the time I'm well into VR1 I would think.

Only 2 quests I could not complete though for the Dominion side. I managed to do the normally de-synced bugged quests by logging on at 5am in the morning when no one was around to make the spawns de-sync. So the only two truly bugged quests are "Report To Marbruk" and one in Reaper's March where you are suppose to go after debtors. I forgot the name because I abandoned it to try to get it again and couldn't.

Report To Marbruk only bugs if you do the Shades of Green quest line first. Which I did so the quest is bugged. Sucks. And that one is has a skill point as a reward too. The other one doesn't.

Some awesome things came out of a recent Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) with Zenimax regarding the future of the game. Here are some highlights:

From their forums
These changes are already on the pts server and will be implemented into their next patch:

• Craglorn, the first Adventure Zone, specifically created for groups of Veteran Rank 1 and above characters
• Trials, which are 12-player “raid”-type instances for Veteran Rank characters, featuring completion time leaderboards
• Death recap: you can now see who killed you and what ability they were using. This is invaluable information in dungeons, PvP, and Craglorn
• Underdog bonuses in Cyrodiil—you’ll get more Alliance Points while fighting for an alliance with a lower population in your campaign
• Animation tweaks and polish
• Combat ability balance changes and fixes
• Class ability tweaks and updates
• Content bug fixes, especially edge cases where quests could become de-synced
• And much, much more—check out the final patch notes when they are posted in the forums

These are what they plan for future updates:

• A system that allows grouped players to see each other even when they’re in different phases
• A justice system—steal from and kill NPCs and deal with the consequences if you are caught
• Migration of European Megaserver to our European datacenter.
• Field of View (FOV) adjustment
• Armor dyeing and tinting
• Two new Veteran Dungeons: Crypt of Hearts and City of Ash
• New region of Craglorn with a new Trial (the Serpent)
• Increased ability to pick up items in the world
• Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood storyline and quests.
• Spellcrafting
• Horse Racing
• Dragonstar Arena—similar to Trials, but built for a group of four
• Improvements to fishing
• Crafting system improvements
• Improved Looking for Group system
• Better NPC facial animations
• Guild functionality updates: guild store interface updates, customizable guild insignias, tabards, and guild ranks, and Guild Kiosks—guild stores open to everyone that are available to the highest-bidding guild.
• Auto-leveling dungeons that level to your group leader
• Awards when you repeat dungeons
• Imperial City PvP dungeon

From the Reddit AMA:
Hey everyone, I compiled a list of Q&A from today for easy access , hopefully you will find it useful. I will also be doing a short summary of the important points in a bit.

There are 74 Q&A, sorted by their topic.
http://dulfy.net/2014/05/01/eso-may-1-reddit-ama-transcript/

Summary (work in progress)

New Content/Features
Patch cadence is going to be update every 4-6 weeks with weekly patches currently to fix issues and get the service stable.
They all won’t be as big as the Craglorn one (with a complete zone and tons of other stuff), but they’ll all have a mix of new content and fixes/balance tweaks.
Achievements will unlock new dyes when dye system goes live
Chat bubbles will be introduced soon
Guild Store search function can cause issues but have plans to make it easier to find stuff
Guild Kiosk will be available at major cities with a seller vendor NPC. Guilds will be able to bid on each kiosk and the highest bid will have their guild store accessible to everyone who interacts with the NPC. Guild Kiosk lasts for 1 week.
More guild ranks and customizations coming this year
Justice system will involve players stealing/killing NPCs and incurring a bounty if they are caught. Guards will give you a chance to pay the bounty or kill you on sight if your bounty is too high. Players could also become guards
Thieves Guild & Dark Brotherhood will have their own skill lines
No underwater content anytime soon
Spellcrafting – you can rediscover traditional Elder Scrolls school of magic – alteration, destruction etc
Guar mounts coming soon but no timeline
Console information in the future
Planning to do housing but want to do it right, no time frame yet
No specific timeline for the guild tabards crests, but they are in the "sooner" end of the list.

Questing/Endgame
Quest achievement bugs will be fixed when Craglorn goes live (and given retroactively to players)
Plans to add new quests to existing zones
Having all the zones scaled to VR10 when you reach VR10 is an interesting idea we are looking at right now.
For the Veteran Content, we thought it was much better to allow players to experience all content with oen character than force them to roll alts.
You can go to Craglorn at VR1 but it will be hard since it is VR11 and VR12 monsters
Our plan for updates is that it will be varied in what sorts of gameplay is offered
We have talked about different rulesets for campaigns as well as having a dungeon experience which has PvP enabled.
With the raise of VR cap from 10 to 12, there will be new gear to craft but currently they do not require additional skill points.

Misc
There are some changes to heavy armor coming that will make you generate ultimate more quickly when playing defensively.
Yes, we believe werewolf is under-performing right now. Expect a few buffs to help offset this. In the short run, we’re reducing the ultimate cost of the transformation itself
No plans to increase the time between vampire stages at this time
Batswarm for Vampires will be fixed in a near future patch
Looking into adjustment (nerf) Standard of Might for DKs. No timeframe yet.
For patch 1.2, we are looking especially at helping to add flexibility to builds with some buffs to the lesser used abilities. For the nightblade, this includes abilities such as Master Assassin, Path of Darkness, Incapacitate, and more.
Adding racial type to the item popup window – yes we definitely agree with this.
Group phasing fixes is one of our high priorities right now
New content will be much easier to play together as a group
Roleplay phase we considered previously is too detrimental to server performance but we are looking at ways to accomplish the same goal.
Durability damage is a bit higher than we would like it to be in group situations like dungeons, the upcoming craglorn zone, and Trial content. In Patch 1.1, you’ll take significantly less damage in group situations (whether or not you have officially formed a party)
Mentoring system is something we are working on as part of "let players find each other more easily" initiative.
Different teams handling new content and bug fixes
SLI support should be available with Craglorn update
Full screen option is coming with Craglorn
As soon as we can move on from fighting service attacks from gold farmers and fixing stability and server load issues, we’ll move the EU megaserver over to its European hosting center. There’s no exact timeline for this at the moment, but it will happen when things settle down.
We aren’t changing the XP gains in PvE any time soon, but we are looking at PvP XP gains.
There is a possibility of adding a general discussion category on the forums, and it’s something we’re discussing internally to implement in the future
An ignore feature on the forums is also something we’re looking into, and hope to have that available for everyone pretty soon.

PVP
Better Leader Chevrons to direct players in PvP coming with patch 1.2
Vampire issues in Cyrodiil is something we are aware and some changes are coming next week
Fixed the bug where multiple Bat Swarms can be stacked on the same Vampire.
Reduced the movement speed bonus durring mist form to 30% (which makes it equivalent to the "Boundless storm" morph of Lightning form)
Reduced the Vampire ability cost reduction to 7% per stage
Pacing of the war has been as expected in some campaigns and not in others. We’re aware of the issues of population and scoring imbalances and working on adjustments in future patches. All that being said, the keeps are getting a bump in difficulty in the first patch which may slow down the rate of their individual capture times.
In the US, a lot of players are using the guest pass to join any fight they can find in the higher population campaigns. In the EU server however, players are continually sticking with their home campaigns. The guest pass timers and cost for switching campaigns is on our radar and we’re monitoring it daily to make sure we don’t negatively impact how players are playing.
For the first patch we’re doubling the amount of XP that players are worth. We will be watching this data closely to see if another increase is necessary.
We are also looking at adding more Kill quests for encouraging PVP hunting of enemy players.
Looking into increase VP rewards from Cyrodiil PvE quests.
We are adding a population underdog bonus in the first patch that will give the lesser populated alliances in a campaign triple the points for owning objectives in Cyrodiil as well as 10% more Alliance points. We’re also investigating additional campaign durations and rules that may limit campaign access based on levels.
Dark talons is currently bugged and can hit more targets than intended.
We are also setting up the Elder Scroll so that Bolt Escape cannot be used by its carrier.
For now there are no plans for new siege weapons or ammo types.
No plans for small scale pvp, dueling, battlegrounds at this time. Our efforts are focused on Cyrodiil.
Looking into infinite loading screens and large group freezing/glitching

Enjoy!

I'm so glad they are focused on Cyrodiil and no small scale stuff. battlegrounds are terrible way to kill a pvp area.
