Kerry leads NV by only 4k votes. Will be a close one, but if NM doesn't turn around for Kerry soon it doesn't matter what happens in NV.

I think ckg said he was going to an official event. Things seem slow around here. I'm thinking most people are following the results on TV or are depressed.

looks like it may wind up 269 to 269.

Big night for the GOP, they win senate seats and pick up some house seats...

On of these days Laura, I'm gonna punch you in the face!

Probably, Don Rumsfeld. However, I need to review the chain of command, so don't quote me on that.

I checked that already. It would be Speaker of the House John Dennis Hastert. Rumsfeld is 4 slots farther down, ahead of Asscroft.

Well, Info, it looks like you get another 4 years to debate the Republicans in power.

If you want to see some serious journalist blunders, just look at history.

No, it's not. The voting is over with, it won't sway anyone. Additionally, it looks as if Bush is increasing his lead again. And absentee and early voting won't probably change much of anything.

CNN's detailed Ohio map is showing bush lead increasing.

I'd say Fox is safe, if a little presumptious.

They explained why they called it, by the the demographics of the remaining precincts and the majority Kerry would need to make up the difference, concluding it was impossible. Seemed pretty resonable to me.

Fox News is unbelievably right-wing. although they may be correct, I would not trust their info as of now.

So, will Prozac prescriptions go up by 20% tomorrow for depressed Liberal folks?

I'm for Bush, but Ohio can't be called yet. Votes are not done yet, and provisional and oversea ballots won't be counted until 10 days after the election. However, if the results from today show a Bush win with more votes then there a total number of prov/oversea ballots, they won't be counted.

It is over. Ohio is done, Bush will be re-elected. Hopefully we can be more civil in these forums, the American people have spoken and have overwhemengly supported the GOP this round. Lets just hope Bush moves towards the middle in his second term and tries to unite the country, but with a Republican house and senate, I doubt anything will change.

They are suppose to be reporting how many provisional ballots there are in Ohio shortly

Call Fox Right-Wing all you want. They've done a fine job of reporting the results this evening and didn't do anything out of line that any other network didn't do. Also, Fox had one of their female corrospondents on about an hour ago and felt quite certain that from her conversations with the Democratic party, they were going to take Ohio. Go figure.

OHIO

84% precincts reporting

Chimp = 51%
Frankenstein = 48%

Bush is going to take OH, and will be Prez for four more years.

And I'm going to be sleeping for the next 7 hours.

definitely agree, Ohio can't be called yet. Fox did something similar last year, ABC, CBS named Gore the winner in Florida then Fox came on and said Bush won it, CBS and ABC all changed there stance
