Pro's are now pushing like $56k. Up almost $16k over what they released at. I've had so many quirks with public charging I'm not going for a second EV. Probably just going to look at Ridgelines when used market gets a little less stupid and nab one of those. I've also been so burned by airlines over the last few months that I'm getting sick of dealing with them too. Want something more functional for longer drives.
I’m really surprised you would be willing to go back to ICE. I do get the charging frustrations, my wife took our Rivian from New Jersey to central Ohio for a two week trip. Compared to the Tesla experience it’s the wild Wild West. She never failed to charge, but it definitely requires far more knowledge and awareness than Tesla where you can essentially just plug in and know it will deliver charge at the best rate possible.
For now my solution to that is to just have at least one Tesla in the household, but Elon going crazy MAGA makes another Tesla purchase unlikely. Hopefully things will be improved by the time our Y needs replacing.
Btw if you want to drive a Rivian mine now lives in Battle Ground. It’s obviously very expensive compared to a Ridgeline, but it is just so fucking good.
