Going to finally do some cable managment, was just wondering if I can use electrical tape on the walls of the case to attach some cables and also is it alright if the tape is touching/on some of the computer components? Ofcourse not the heatsink.

I would use spiral or split sleeving from Radio Shack. Use tie wraps ( I call'em zip ties) to pull the wiring to an area
thats away from the air flow. I would never use tape ON the case to manage cable placement. Mickey Mouse! Besides
looking bad, I doubt if it would stay put very long. Using sriral sleeving would pemit you to easily access the wiring in
in the future without having to deal with a sticky residue tape may leave when removed at a later date.

If you go to Radio Shack pick-up some small diameter heat shrink tubing as it's much
better than tape for covering solder joints on wires. You don't need a heat gun, a match
will do. If you've never used it, practice on a scrap wire first.

don't recommend it. after periods of time, the tape gets nasty and leaves sticky residue (trust me, i've tried). Use zip ties, split loom or sleeving to manage wires

re. electrical tape. I agree with others that it tends to peel off when good and warm leaving a sticky black mess behind (remove with full strength Simple Green, Goo Gone, etc.).
. At Radio Shack et al. they have square bases with sticky backs that allow you to fasten wires with zip ties where there is no place else to which to fasten the zip tie . Bases can also be used with twist tie (which I get by the 100' roll) etc.

i prefer zip ties. places like frys or radio shack or homedepot have em. from thin to thick..its cheap easy and easily reversible. if you need to use electrical tape in some places to keep something out of the way that can't be done with a zip tie.. use quality tape. 3m. cheap tape degrades very quickly into a gooey slimy gluey mess. its disgusting.

Personally, I reccomend using heatshrink and zip-ties. Tape would work, but if you want/need to change something in the future, it would be a bit of a hassle.
