I cannot recall a time when the electric bill was below $300. I don't run the heat, the teen moved out and boxes keep folding. I'm considering a move to SSD drives; have two of them ready for install as well as moving everything to 55nm or 45nm when available. As the farm grows it's nice to make it green.
Keep folding,

Given our northern climate, I don't usually scale back crunching until May/June and resume sometime in Sept/Oct. The "waste" heat produced definitely comes in handy helping keep our house warm.

I'm going to miss free electricity and high bandwidth Internet... a couple of the advantages of a university dormitory.
Hopefully at least one of the several on-site job interviews I have coming up will land me something out of college. Then maybe I can continue to burn money on my computer hobby, lol.
Started F@H back up with my old team (#13285 - The Folding Wolves) after ~ 1 year hiatus due to being a cheap arse and not replacing an old Antec PSU (high load = random reboots). Finally broke down and bought a Corsair TX 650W
I'm amazed at how much F@H has advanced in the past year or so. Running the GPU2 client on my HD3850 is easy as pie and processes very quickly. Now if only I could run a pair of 9600GSOs instead... probably the most efficient way to get ~10000+ PPD.

I charge a bank of 4 car batteries at work, then bring them home and run the computers from inverters!
