i am wondering if they make any 'generic' type of remove control units. by this i mean something where you can wire something to the input end, and then wire something else to the output end, and it will work. its kind of hard to explain.

like basically say you have a wire that you want to rid of. do they make any type of generic type of radio controlled / wireless gadget that will allow you to cut the wire, solder it to an input end, and then solder the other end of the wire to the receiver end of the gadget?

this idea came up when trying to get a wireless controller for xbox. if i could cut the wire of the controller and solder each end of it to some sort of RC type gadget thingie and have a first party wireless controller.

anyone know if anything like this exists?

No you can't. RC stuff works by constantly sending a pulse to the reciever to tell the servos what position they need to be in.

how stuff like phones use? like i picked up a wireless xbox controller last night that is 2.4Ghz. it feels comfortable but i dont know if im going to keep it, i have to give it some time to get used to it.

im dumb when it comes to wireless/RC stuff so sorry if my questions sound stupid.

You'd have to know how the XBOX controller works. There may be bi-directional busses that would be really difficult to deal with wirelessly. You'd also have a big, chunky piece of electronics wired to your controller (including a battery).

wireless phones are designed to be, well, wireless. I suppose that theoretically you could design a way to remove the wire for your XBox controller (or whatever), but it really wouldnt be worth the time/effort.

The simple answer is no. You are expecting WAY too much out of technology. Any wireless adaptation of a current wired device has to be designed SPECIFICALLY for whatever signals the wired device is trying to send.
