That rep was probbly the manager. Else read my post . . . about the 1st attempt and my friends attempt.

Then you get a good rep that understand that this is totally legit and legal. There is absoultly nothing wrong with what we did. We traded in dvds and that was it. How the dvd was derived did not matter. Clearly new was better then old . . .

This deal was made by EB and the guidlines of the deal was defined by EB. It has nothing to do with us that they took DVD that would have been only give $1 dollor had it been returned on regular days (Example Pokemon DVD 1-17). Who ever made the deal at the corprate level needs to get fired because of pure marketing genius. On other days the LOTR they would have rejected the deal base on ground that the pokemon dvd did not qualify. All of us who perticpated on this deal made no scams because it was under the guidelines of the deal. Last, making multiple return at different stores was not a scam because I called a rep about it and address the legality of the issue.

So who ever said I and everyone here scamed EB. Noone did that here today.

Man I wish I got in on this deal . I am getting a gamecube with mario sunshine by the end of the month, and this could have been a good way to start it off by getting rid of some movies i don't want anymore. It's not going on today anymore is it?

Oh, and what's the deal with all the irate clerks working at EB? These guys really must take themselves and their jobs seriously to actually get angry at people for doing deals like this.

Wow...I dunno. The reps at the store I go to are always really nice. They joke around with you, and they don't seem to mind when you ask a lot of questions clearly trying to squeeze a scam out of them.

If you had dvd's they wouldn't take, call the corporate number and lodge a complaint. It did say "ANY" dvd. It seems that some managers just didn't want to deal with the trade-ins. (610)430-8100

Also, be sure to check out your eb in the next few days also. There was some quality stuff traded in, and just because they gave $10, doesn't mean the sell it for more. There are some that came in that sell for $7.99 or even $4.99. Our eb took in over 300 dvd's yesterday, so there is definitely a big selection.

I tried to bring in 18 DVD, but they only ended up taking 14 of them, so I got a GameCube, a 251 Memory Card, a Wavebird, and Super Smash Bros. but I had to pay another $80 on top of that. Looking forward to Mario Sunshine though!!! And bring on Metroid!!!

well,all of the movies I took in were pretty good. 9 of the 20 were were movies that came out wthe SE versions(or are about to).

Like I said, the odd one was trial by jury. That one rang up as a $10 trade in. When the clerk added another $10 to it, it was a very nice deal.

I agree people who normally trade in movies to eb get ripped off. The normal trade in value for a movie like amadeus or replacement killers is $3! But $13 each was a pretty good deal for me! Gremlins got me $17 which probably me than the SE version will cost me!! $15 for unforgiven, $14 starship troopers and reservoir dogs will make the trade up to the SE versions pretty cheap! With an average trade in of $15.60, I really can't complain!!

Just thought i'd mention this once again since I See A LOT Of you used the credit you had AND ON TOP OF that paid more $ out of your pocket:

I have an $85 Gift card that I don't think im going to use from this deal. If anyone would like to buy it for $65 ($15 profit for me, $20 discount for you, which is fair enough, considering I wasted an hour of my time to do this then realizing I wasn't going to get enough credit to buy anything good) then let me know!

So rather than spending $65 out of your pocket you can spend $65 and have $20 extra with it. Pretty fair if you're planning on buying something and don't have enough money GC to cover it all.

Not ususally. Even if they are scratched heavily, they just get sent back to coporate office to be resurfaced. Generally they just won't take cracked, broken, or gouched cd's, but every store manager is different.
