<< discovered by everyone huh?

this thread is NOT eakers approved.
>>

In case anyone wonders what that snooty remark means, the original post contained a funny reference to Eakers as one of the "elements," I see that it has been editted out now by WW.

Element: Wombatium

Symbol: Wb

Properties: Also known as Denmothrium (Dm) Seldom boils, never freezes, readily bonds without flaming.

Actual atomic weight is not known, but some would say Wombatium is worth her weight in gold.

NOt an element but a particle.

Particle: Lurkerino
Symbol: Yet unkown
Mass: Though to be massless.
Discovered: Only postulated to exist.
Properites: This newly posulated particle is actually though to be a close cousin of the neutrino. In fact it may be a type of neutrino known as the contributer neutrino. Like other neutrinos, contributer neutrinos far outnumber contributers, yet none have actually been observed. Furthermore like other neutrino's they are predicted to be quite numerous yet largely useless, virtually never interacting. Our only indication they excist is the unaccounted for entries in Interplanetary Particle logs.

Is there a joke in there someplace? If so, it went over my head. Or under my feet.

Congratulations on 5000 posts, WW.

Next time some rudeboy tells you to "get a life" you can tell him that you are a half-Lifer.

Yesterday one of my friends sent me an email fwd that contained something that reminded me alot of this thread. I stripped off all the little > marks (damn forwards usually have thousands of those crapping up the text,) and here it is. I think ours is funnier, but people outside AnandTech could never understand all the insider references in "Dealium" "Modium" "Nefium" "Trollium" "Zunium" and the now deleted "Eakerium".

Enjoy-----

Scientists Discover New Element

The heaviest element known to science was recently discovered by University physicists. The element, tentatively named Administratium, has no protons or electrons and thus has an atomic number of 0. However, it does have one neutron, 15 assistant neutrons, 70 vice assistant neutrons, and 161 assistant vice neutrons. This gives it an atomic mass of 247. These 247 particles are held together in a nucleus by a force that involves the continuous exchange of meson-like particles called morons.

Since it has no electrons, Administratium is inert. However, it can be detected chemically as it impedes every reaction it comes in contact with. According to the discoverers, a minute amount of Administratium added to one reaction caused it to take over four weeks to complete. Without Administratium, the reaction ordinarily occurred in less than one second.

Administradium has a normal half life of approximately three years, at which time it does not actually decay but instead undergoes a reorganization in places. Studies seem to show the atomic number actually increasing after each reorganization.

Research indicates that Administratium occurs naturally in the atmosphere. It tends to concentrate in certain locations such as government agencies, large corporations and universities. It can usually be found in the newest, best appointed and best maintained buildings.

Scientists warn that Administratium is known to be toxic, and recommend plenty of fluids and bed rest after even low levels of exposure.

It is true what they say, "the search button is your friend"...

I did a search for "element" because I wanted to post a link to this unique site.

And lo and behold, my search for "element" unearthed this thread.

It still makes me laugh, and I am hoping for a few additional AT "elements."
