I've got a pretty good trade route, usually between 2600 - 3000 / cargo space per round trip (2 jumps) during the week. But I've noticed when I have the opportunity to play during the weekend...it really tanks on the weekend :thumbsdown:.

Glad you pointed that out, because I noticed a similar drop in profits from trading. Bounty hunting pays well all the time luckily! I got my Asp and it is tearing ships apart with its 6 hardpoints.

It has had SLI support for a while now. Not sure about crossfire.

Plus its maneuverability is unreal. It can stop and turn on a dime. If it had any more hard points it might possibly be OP.

Yeah the Vulture has more firepower than an Asp and is faster than an Eagle. What more could you want?

Is it? I cannot find solid info that SLI and Crossfire are performing correctly. It sounds like card 2 will just lower overall performance. My r9 290 can barely maintain 60fps in stations.

Nvidia added an SLI profile in Oct, but I guess it could have problems? I'm running 2 980s and afterburner shows them both in use, but I do get occasional stuttering even though fps is locked at 60.

Thanks for the link. I want to upgrade to 4k; and while this game isn't memory intensive, I know my r9 290 could not come close to maintaining 60fps at 4k.

On the GeForce website, http://www.geforce.com/games-applications/pc-games/elite-dangerous/system-requirements, Elite: Dangerous does not have SLI listed as official support yet? I guess I'll wait on Frontier to improve graphics support. 4K is supported though!

Everybody stutters like crazy when approaching planets and in some cases in supercruise.

IIRC, the devs mentioned it a while back that it's because they added a bunch of telemetry tasks (your client a bunch of information dumps to their servers) to help them debug things and add data to prevent exploits ever since one of the early patches. Those are supposed to go away as soon as they get their shit together.

I haven't touched this game in about a month. Just not enough content for it and my schedule is pretty busy. I'm back to Minecraft (FTB servers) for the one hour or so a day I have to relax. Ah well. I am hoping that here in the next few months they seriously pump out some updates. Just seems fruitless for me to grind for credits right now

That's rather interesting. I'm kinda on break too and went over to minecraft. Have a server set up with a few friends. If I could put together a wing for 1.2 I might come back but I'm worried about being slaughtered by harder AI.

Also, he was probably banned for being thinclient. He'll be back.

The new updates have made this game so much more fun. I traded in my Asp for the Vulture and have been averaging a little over a million cr an hour. Some bounty hunters are making 2 million cr an hour now.

The trick is to no longer take those bounty missions on the bulletin board; but rather keep flying to Strong Signal Sources.
Edit: and resource extraction sites for patrolling.

Having a blast to longer trade for profits. Elite is trying to make all career paths a viable option.

The Fer-de-Lance looks interesting as well, but it's closer to the price range of a Python. I hope they give the passenger ships a valid reason for existence. I haven't logged in since the evening I got the clipper, but that's only cause we've being doing a lot of work to the house -- new floors, fixing stuff -- and my study isn't put back together yet :'(.

Part of the reason I love this game so far is that there's plenty for me to work towards but I don't feel pressured to log on all the time.

Yeah, kinda quiet in here. I'm a gamer and having a blast with this game, but it's all very low priority atm with a move, a baby, and a job search all happening within the next 8 months . I'm expecting a lot of extended hiatuses, such as right now.

I don't pirate, sorry. :\

It does have unlimited framerate, and voice commands work through voice attack. Astra is a pack for that.

I don't use it, but I think you need voice attack to run astra. Not sure though.

This game should really dump the solo play option. I have a hard time forcing myself to play in open knowing all it's going to add for me in my current endeavors is additional risk.

So there is a solo (all NPC's) and multiplayer option (some NPC some real players) ??

Yeah. It's all online play connected to the server, and plenty of npc ships flying around. But it's instanced and you can do solo, small group multiplayer (friends), or full multiplayer. And you can switch play modes whenever by logging off and then back on.

Well small group play was in the works...was it added in the last patch? I haven't checked patch notes.
