Well, the topic raises an interesting point, insofar as one of the things that helped Putin come to power was the reaction _against_ the kleptocrats and oligarchs, and that he gave the impression of "reigning them in" (even if he was in reality just the biggest of them, the oligarch to end all oligarchs). Either way though, it seems that an oligarch stage is a step on the road to despotism, and the US appears to be already going down that road.

Also another lesson from that is that constitutions don't really do much confining. Seems that an over-reliance on such things, and an excessive faith in them, increases the chances of ending up with such a despot. Constitutions contain the means of their own unraveling, and the current blatant politicization, and monetization, of the Supreme Court seems to be a manifestation of that. Your Constitution won't save you, so maybe stop going on about it so much.

Alright ... I haven't been following what's going on in the UK. I just read a few things about it (these riots) and will try to figure out what this clown Musk is projecting with that tweet with the black people and Muslims.

So ... Apparently there have been riots going on in the UK over the last two weeks by people on the far-right. I assume the backstory is a 17 year old black male born in Wales to parents from Rwanda and who grew up in a place called Southport went into a summer club where young white girls were doing activities and such (Taylor Swift singing themes and the like). So, the 17 year old proceeds to start stabbing them and the adult running the club activities. Three young girls were killed.

Because of the killer’s age his name was not immediately released into the press so people on social media started spreading around misinformation/rumors that he was an illegal immigrant, an asylum seeker, a Muslim, known to the security services and that sort of shit. Musk’s Twitter has been a haven of these lies which is what led to these riots in which they started attacking shelters for refugees including trying to burn down one as well as attacking Mosques and also police officers.

After the violence, a judge allowed the name of the killer to be released before he turns 18 because of the rampant misinformation and lies being spread. But the damage was already done and now those rioters being prosecuted for their criminal actions is being seen as persecution by the likes of dipshits like Musk and far-right figures.

That might explain somewhat of the second pic of the Muslims and the police officer
