This just in: Trump thinks Musk is weird.

"Trump “thinks he’s weird,” one source close to the former president told Rolling Stone. “Sorry to use a word used a lot by Democrats now.” The source had spoken to Trump about Musk as recently as July.

Another source who had been in the room several times while Trump had spoken to Musk told Rolling Stone that the former president had complained about the Tesla CEO a few times, calling him “boring” and describing him as tiresome and moody."

^^^ Tiresome, moody and boring. Who else does this remind you of?

Musk is actively allowing, if not directly promoting, what are most likely Russian spies who are en masse stealing influencer identities on fake Twitter profiles to promote Trump, some with tens of thousands of followers.

It is kind of like whack-a-mole with those accounts.

CNN reached out to X regarding these accounts but did not receive a response. However, in the last 24 hours before publishing, X took down the majority of the accounts.

Except Musk fired all of the whackers, and offers blue check marks to every new mole.

Remember when Elon used to complain about all the bots on Twitter and then implemented a system which caused the number of bots to explode?

I'm not one of those people who boycotts Twitter but the decline in the quality of the product has been extreme. Basically all replies to posts are trash fires now with hoards of bots filling the threads with garbage.

Yup, probably fired most of the support staff that used to do checking on this. Realistically I do wonder if going the human route is the best. Maybe someway to train a AI to do this. It seems like these social media sites get flooded with fake accounts and bots etc.

Twitter's bot problem got exponentially worse after Musk's changes so I would not say he's on the right track. As for AI I doubt they have the resources to develop something like that while the company is now an absolute cash incinerator.

Was the barge pitching? I mean we already have an inherently unstable booster trying to land on a pitching moving object I would expect this to happen from time to time. Are there personnel actually on the barge when the booster lands?

My understanding is that no one is on the barge during landings. The barges are referred to as "drone ships".

Maybe NASA needs to give Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin a Defense Services Contract -- go build a rocket that's more reliable than space x and a shuttle that's more reliable than Boeing.

This is less serious than the previous grounding a month ago. In fact I’m surprised they are grounding them. Every other crashes into the ocean.

Probably won’t be a long grounding.
This, I am not sure why a recovery failure at sea is grounds for a grounding.

It is kind of odd for the FAA to ground SpaceX after a failed booster landing. The booster was a flight leader and was on it's 23rd launch.
Probably because if it happened at the cape if could case damage. I think the much worse condition would have been if it missed the target.

Regardless of the flight phase, it still failed and was an accident and the FAA wants to make sure the failure is understood.
