Emachines M6807 now with $200 MIR(s) @ CC $1449.99

Well even though Circuit City has no competition from Best Buy on the Emachines M6807 (M6805 with Pioneer DVD-RW) it is now offering an extra CC $100 mir plus the original standard Emachines $100mir.

Can someone please tell me if CC will let me have the new CC $100 MIR that started today Feb 8th, 2004 when I bought my M6807 the 23rd Jan?

It's too late for me to return it because I'm past the 14day return period for PC's.

Their online policies say they do not 30 day price garantee rebates

Do you think they will play nice ???

I wouldn't hold your breathe on that one. Altho at least you got what appears to be a pretty damn nice machine for not too bad a price either.

just called my local CC store and they will set me up with a new receipt to claim the new rebate because ofthe 30 day price garantee

I think I will become a loyal Circuit City shopper if they keep this up

wish i had the Gs! Nice though, what model 3000+ was that again.. wasn't there an error in the description at first? I recall it was about the cache or something.

Passed by CC after work and they just gave me an Instant rebate for $100 + $10 for 10% difference and $6 for the tax

Another $110 off my M6807 makes it real sweet considering these babies are extremely rare and all on backorder around here in Indianapolis.

I vow to always shop at CC from now on

BTW I run mine overclocked with Clockgen (FSB) and ATiTools (GPU).

There is no mistake in my sig.

I saw this deal too - it's OOS online and no stores within 100 miles of my zip code carry it. I don't know why they even bother advertising it...

I'm in the market for a laptop, although I don't need the DVD+-RW so I'd rather save the money & get the M6805 (or a Thinkpad T40/41, I'm still undecided).

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>I?ve had the M6807 for about 2 weeks now and my only complaint is the construction of the LCD frame, needs more strength. Just touching the back with slight pressure creates an imprint on the screen. My Sony FXA-49 doesn?t do that. <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"></SPAN>Didn?t like the one drive configuration either, so split the drive into 3 partitions and installed beta XP 64 bit OS on one but that was a waste, so resized that to 6GB, not going to use it much. Not much for drivers, only the wired network was supported, no display drivers, wireless or media slots etc. Don?t waste your time for the free download, not worth it. Only works 1 year anyway. DVD burner works great, multitasked while burning without any problems, stays cool, power now/speed step doesn?t seem to work/display correctly don?t know which but home/office desk displays full speed <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"></SPAN>the rest top out at 1.59 and step down to 793. </FONT>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman"><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"></SPAN>Prices I have seen are $1250 after rebates for the 6805 at Best Buy, which was an unadvertised price last week, just happened to be there, currently $1450 after $100 rebate, <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1lace><st1laceName>Circuit</st1laceName> <st1laceType>City</st1laceType></st1lace> is $1450 after $200 rebate for the M6807.</FONT></FONT>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman"><SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"></SPAN><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"></SPAN>Probably will sport for the extended warranty ?can?t decide though if I should do the 2 year for $170 from eMachines or the $370 4 year super sucker warranty from Circuit City.</FONT></FONT>

I have an emachine M5310, earlier model. It overheats so badly. The comptuer boots up , 30 seconds later, it shuts off instantly. I turn it back on , same thing. Thinking it was a virus, I use a Windows XP cd to boot from, can't even make it through setup. Let it cool down , it works. Not until another hour, same thing overheats. It repeats over and over. Not flame crapping. It's just my own experience. I called e-machine, they said " Well you need to ventilate your laptop better". I'm like gee, thanks. It's on a nice cold wooden desk. I have a 3year best buy warranty so it's cool.
