im having this email problem. i can recieve emails but i cannot send them. i keep getting this error:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Subject 'Re: ouch', Account: 'pop.nbnet.nb.ca', Server: 'smtp.nbnet.nb.ca', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

now, two days ago my email was working fine.yesterday it started happening. this happened to me 2 weeks ago also and the tech guys at my isp couldnt figure out what was going on..they said it must be my fault , and i know it isnt cause i havent changed anything in my setup at all. a few days after i called them my email mysteriously started working again. and now it doesnt.anyone have any ideas?

thanks

Have you tried to check for new email before sending the email? Some servers require you to do this so they can authenticate your username and password.

look in the setting and check on the servers tab just put a tick in :

my server requires authentication

or

logon using secure password

or

on the advanced tab tick the box that says

server requires a secure connection

no try these individually and see if any of them work but if you go to do any of these and anyone of the boxes are already ticked then take out the tick to see if thats the problem....

on my system all 3 of these things are UNTICKED but i did notice that yahoo.com is now using secure connections and a client needed to change to reflect the new setting ....

apart from that sorry cant help further

Shouldnt the part in bold be your account name? That looks like a server instead. Of course I dont know what software you are using, your setup, or any of your information so troubleshooting it would be kinda tough.
