I just want you all to know that there are email scams going on by organizations that are completely fraudulent trying to collect money for the tragedy in New York City and Washington.

If you wish to donate, please investigate the orginzation fully before doing so.
Also, it is extremely unlikely that any valid orginization would contact you via email to ask for donations of this type.

Yes some good advice is also check with the better business bureau about any so-called organizations. Or do as Locutus has suggested.

I got an email earlier with info regarding numbers to call and address to send money. It looked a bit suspicious. I was going to check the addresses and #'s to see if they were legit, but I ended up just deleting the email.

Paypal and Amazon have setup donation sites, with 100% going straight to Red Cross. Amazon already has almost $3 million!

What is also disgusting is companies trying to take advantage of the tragedy. I heard on the radio hotel's are charging double a night what they normally charge, and gas prices are extremely high in some places. This has been probably said before but this is just sad on the business owners part. Taking advantage of their own country is just .....---------
