I went in April when there was still snow on the slopes. I took my board with me and found that the snow there is like 200 times better than the crap they have in TN and NC... (duh) But I was TRULY impressed with the mountains. I also got to see Huey Lewis and the News in a special concert for the conference I was attending.

When I was there in July, I went to see Phish and Don McLean in concert. (not the same concert) I drove around the mountains and had a good time meeting locals and enjoying the different restaurants.

Places of Interest:

Port O'Call - Bar/Club. Haven't struck out yet there... (HEHE)
Squatter's Pub - Good beer... They sell 6 packs too so you can take em back to the hotel if you want.
Cafe Pierpoint - Cheap margaritas and appetizers on Wednesday
Slopes: Brighton, Snowbird for snowboarding

Thanks for the tips... We had already done things like this, however including the Blues and Brews fest in downtown SLC. I'm not saying there aren't fun things to do here. Maybe I was just naive to think that stepping on LDS property when I'm invited (per signs) is safe.
