I don't drink very often but last night I decided to finish off the Jack Daniels sitting on top of my fridge.
The evening goes on and I just wind down, right? Then my friend gets on MSN around midnight all distraught about his life. He has been really depressed and has problems going on family and otherwise and no one has seen him for a couple of months.
So I try and do the friend thing and talk with him on MSN and then over the phone. I open up suicide prevention stuff online and get ideas, how to talk him down (he wasn't suicidal, but I just wanted to make sure).
The night goes on and later into the early morning hours he sends me a few depressing youtube videos which I watch.
In the midst of all this I'm looking up a girl from my past on facebook. She is an amazing woman and I think the world of her. I haven't talked with her in awhile so figured I'd get on there and get in touch.
I get her picture and look at it. Save it and rename it with her name onto my desktop (nice eye candy). She has the same name as my ex. My parents don't know my ex because I live 100 miles away, but they know her through name and me talking about her from time to time. I open the picture and just leave the viewer open as it was nice to look at (large monitor).
I fall asleep and leave all the stuff open on my computer. I fall asleep very late (4am) because I stayed up to help my friend work out some of his funk issues.
This morning my father was supposed to stop in at my place. I wasn't up and didn't have the place cleaned as I was tired and overslept (until 1:00pm). I've been really busy between work and school and it has gotten messy around here.
To top it off I was quite disheveled looking and haven't shaved for days. When my father arrives he goes and uses my PC to look up some real estate he is on his way to view.
To his amazement my house looks like crap, I look like crap, my PC has "suicide" websites opened up with depressing youtube videos (johnny cash "hurt"), the picture of the girl who shares the same name as my ex is on the monitor (and my father saw the filename because he read it out loud), and a polished off bottle of Jack Daniels beside the monitor.
Maybe it doesn't make sense but you had to be there to see how akward it was
