So.. i start out playing the game as Great Britian on VH/VH and long campaign.
My first move is that i usually conquer France right off the bat in the first 10 turns and destroy them.
But... as soon as i capture their capital city, i spend the next 30 turns keeping my entire army in that city fending off revolt after revolt after revolt. I'm about to start ripping out my hair? How the hell do you lower their resisting occupation level?
Both noble and lower class are about -25/-21 and every other turn it might by down by 1 or 2... what kind of ridiculous game mechanic is this? There is no way to lower this except waiting it out. You can lower taxes.. but you gotta lower them for the entire region. You can make them completely exempt from taxes.. but it only lowers by about 4 or 5 resistance and they still hate you and revolt.
I miss MTW2 when you can just slaughter the turds and problem solved.
Anyone actually know how to lower their resisting occupation level? Even if the French are wiped off the map, it still will not lower.
/rant off
But seriously.. anyone had this problem and managed to stave off 30+ turns of armed rebellion?
