Employer lied about hourly rate, advice ?

Started with a new company about a week ago
Got my first check today and they are paying me $1.25 an hour less than stated. On top of that I worked overtime which isn't included in an unspecified uniform fee. So that doubly fuklcked the extra hoursI put in.

They owe me hundreds of dollars at this point, whats the best course of action ? I'venever had to deal with a shady practice like this.

Just contact HR and include a scan of the document which you signed listing your pay. Also include a question about your overtime pay. Don't feel bad about asking, that's literally why they're there - it may not be shady, someone may have fat-fingered your information.

Hourly or not, you should have gotten an offer letter stating your pay. I've gotten one at any job I've worked above the fast food level.
