I was away this weekend
Checked this morning and EMS had credited account for $62.54 on Aug. 09 02
Had ordered Antec SX830 ($59 + FL tax)
Glad we are getting our money back but still upset EMS used our money for short term loan :frown:
Will not buy from them again!; I will stick with Newegg

Like everyone in this thread, I got the same order confirmation email followed by the cancellation email, and after sweating it out untill 8/8 I finaly got my cc refunded. Then today, much to my surprise I got an email from Eric Stockton the CEO of EMS Computing. Had his ext.# and an invitation to call and let him handle this personaly so I decided to call and vent some. He agreed the whole mess was their fault and completly unexcusable and offered to honor the originl deal including the free shipping. He said he was getting in touch with everyone who had had a problem and was offering to make good. Funny thing was tho the ext number in the email was incorrect. (seems pretty typical for this Co. now). Fortunatly I remembered that someone on resellerrateing.com had posted their number and Eric Stocktons ext. I tried it and low and behold he actually answered. for anyone interested the number is (352) 374-8400 ext 2353. I'm not recomending that anyone do business with EMS Computing ever again, but if you still want the original deal or you just want to call and vent, here's your chance.

Keep trying OulOat, I got the machine several times too but did eventualy get to speak with Eric Stockton.

Even if they offered to honor my original order I'd tell them to stick it up their ass. After the way they fvcked me I'd never do business with them again no matter what kind of deals they offer. It'd be different if they made an honest mistake and either attempted to correct it or apologized for it. Instead they did nothing but send out automated cancellation e-mails and deleted inquiring e-mails without even reading them.

Yes, I called and after chewing their butts for a while I fanally setteled down to listen to what they had to say. They offered to re-instate the original order for a Samsung 955DF monitor $187 and free shipping. They said it would be a few days befor it shipped and that they would email me a tracking number when it ships. As of yet I still don't have the tracking number or confirmation that it shipped but it has only been one day so I'm hopeing. I'm not suggesting that you do the same as I did, but mearly passing on the information in case someone would like to go this way. Personaly I still think "EMS SUCKS" but I really wanted this monitor and it is/was a good price.

Well, actualy it turns out that they really didn't screw me. But like most of you I did think thats what they were doing. I eventualy got my credit card refunded without haveing to contest the charge. As for admitting their mistake, Eric Stockton the CEO of EMS Computing did admit that it was a fiasco...one huge screw-up on their part. I got an apology and an offer to set it straight and I chose to accept the offer. This doesn't make it right nor does it repair the damage done to their reputation. I doubt I will ever order from them again, but not because I think that they are crooks, I just think that they are inept and incompetent

Ordered on the 30th, credited my money back on the 11th, not so much as a cancellation e-mail or any sort of explanation.
I just sent them this: Subject: E-commerce suicide.

"Well, you have really done it this time. Run a free shipping sale while you are moving your business, make thousands of sales, CHARGE EVERYBODY BEFORE YOU SHIP, use OUR money for nearly two weeks, then cancel the orders and EVENTUALLY return our money.
I have been a customer of EMS for many years (my first purchase was a Celeron 300 and an Abit BH6) and I just want to say IT WILL BE A COLD DAY IN HELL BEFORE YOU SEE ANOTHER DIME OF MY MONEY.
You have stepped in your own sh*t. I hope you enjoy the smell.

I doubt they will even read this, but I feel somewhat better.
