(Finished)
Happily passed on to a DC'er.
GLeeM.

I'm going to put an item in the for sale section but I'd like to first offer it to a DC'er at a really low price as I have done in the past give me a PM if interested.

It's a GPU 7950 GV-R795WF3-3GD Gigabyte version 1 (version 2's are hampered they'll only do 1050). In Help Conquer Cancer this o/c's at 1200 MHz at stock voltage in Open CL. I had it on one of the PrimeGrid's programs at same clock setting ymmv on other projects.
To game I run @ 950 MHz. The reason for 950 was it was stable to run in CrossFireX. The second card I'm not selling.

Edit: Forgot to mention will gift some Steam games for "testing" of card
Edit: Steam games that are in your library can not be gifted. So register as gifts or keep the activation codes for games your not sure your going to play.

Hopefully the administrators will let this run, last time I tacked it on a thread for a i7 3930K. It went to Sweden.

Nice card I almost bought a used Gigabyte 7950 off ebay couple days ago. Milkyway@home was favorite project on my 5850 that croaked doing it. I've gone Nvidia but thought about grabbing a cheap used 5000/6000/7000 when the price is right. Running a 580 GTX now. Never the less the 7950 is a beast of a card and power consumption is great. I've had nothing but good luck with gigabyte Mobos and GPUs..

I might be interested if you want to get rid of it.

Been doing nVidia cards with Einstein, but have been tinkering with the idea of ditching the GTX650 for an AMD for MilkyWay

i will keep this in mind. right now i'm in the middle of relocating one of my machines to the living room, and i have to install some ethernet cables in the walls so that i don't have to run cables across the floor of the entire condo. my goal is to have the cables run and the machine back up and running by next weekend, at which point i'll determine if that machine is capable of cooling 2 7970's in its new location without making too much noise. if i can't keep them cool enough without making too much noise, i may keep the 7950 and sell off one of the 7970's...but i'll keep you in mind regardless of what i end up doing...in the mean time, we should probably talk about this via PM, since this is not my FS thread...

...Stitch, glad you were able to sell that 7950 so quickly, and to a TeAm cruncher no less

However I had to run lengthwise two 120 mm 9 blade fans over the 2 HD 7950s to keep them cool in the low 70c range and they were running at 2,750 rpm.
I have two 660Ti with poor ventilation spacing and run 2 Corsair fans at 5,000 rpm as described above, but the rooms have high ambient noise levels.
In push mode.
