So, about the game... How does it compare to BF2142? (it looks basically like bf2142 with aliens)

And for people who don't like it so much, do you like BF2142? It seems like that is a good game to compare it to...

i think the filters are fvcked. change a filter and it should show up. thats how i got mine to work.

Just a random filter? I have everything enabled, nothing actually filtered, and I still do not see any servers. They were there yesterday though.

I was able to get on the server userman posted by direct ip.

Edit: Yep, removing a random filter worked. Thanks! Too bad I had a CTD right after...oh well, time for some LOTRO.

FYI for those who care:

1. Crossfire does not seem to work with this game. I had to disable to get it to run properly.

2. If you have a 2900XT and you are having graphical issues, try turning off AA, it worked for me.

Now that I have had a little time to actually play the game, i think it is an average amount of fun. A little too much like BF2142 for my liking, so much so in fact I thought it was thinking it was an EA game for a bit there.

Personally, I like the weapons better in BF2142. It takes way too many rounds to bring down an OPFOR.

Its been two days.
I love this game. Graphics guns and well no girls Ive been playing the tech and medic classes and im having a blast.
I use the Husky (4 wheeler) the most. Its fast but lightly armored and running people over keeps things interesting.
I jumped the Husky off a 15-25Ft jump and wile in mid air collided with a strog that was wearing a jump pack. It killed the strog and flipped the husky dropping me into the middle of a fire fight. I started dropping heath packs until I ran out. Pulled my pistol and dumped a clip into two strog techs. I then whip out the defib and start reviving my team mates. After i get the last one back on his feet a strog air strike kills us all.

God good times.

I hate BF 1942/2/2048 but this game is really enjoyable. The beta needs more tweeks and bug work but its getting there.

Dont get me wrong. A lot of people have been having trouble. So far things are working good for me.

Sounds like you are really enjoying it. I, otoh, find it difficult because I have no idea what the hell I am doing. I just run around looking for the guys with red triangle and start shooting. I am hosting a LAN party this weekend and wish we could play this locally.
