If you do some research you will find that Enermax made quite a number of models beginning with "EG465P-VE" from a low of 12v@20A. It's important to find out exactly what model this is to see if it's really worth it.

Yeah, kamranziadar has nothing but bad things to say about ANYTHING unless it is a deal he/she posted. Since he/she doesn't know a think about hardware, he/she just trolls and thread craps all over the place just to get a high post count. A case and 500W power supply for $35? Don't bother us when your system dies from that so-called "500W" power supply or you bleed all over it because the cheap case cut you up.

It is ATX12V 1.3, so it is only 20-pin.

that's why i didn't pull the trigger last nite. couldn't figure out which model it was and there are huge differences between them, especially +12v rail

HA! I called SVC customer support around this time (they aren't even available until 1:00pm EST) to ask if this power supply was the EG465P-VE-FM-24PIN and if it wasn't, did it still have SATA connectors and he said he didn't know, that I needed to e-mail tech support.

I told him I had done so three hours before but had not as yet received a reply. He told me there was a 24 turnaround time for replies but not to worry, they would still have these in stock tomorrow. :roll:

Also, in my PS wanderings, I came accross Enermax EG375P-VE SFMA ATX12V V1.3 Noisetaker 370 Watt Power Supply @ Newegg for the same $39.99 price as the EG465P @ SVC. That is almost $20 cheaper than anywhere else, including Monarch and ZipZoomFly! The shipping to the East Coast is cheaper than SVC as well.

Unlike the EG465P in the OP, it has SATA connectors, and a 3 year warranty, but probably not a 24 pin connector, as it is V1.3.

Despite the lower wattage rating, it is truly comparable to the EG465P. Here it is tested against an EG465P and a Fortron in an overclocked system and comes through with flying colors.

I've been looking at the Nosetaker, but newegg recently rased the shipping. It was free. I've got a bit of time yet, and power supplies are on sale quite frequently, so I'm waiting.

I bought a 465P-VE FMA 1.3 non noisetaker off Newegg for $80 a while back. If this is the same model I have (33A on the 12v rail), then this is a steal. Enermax supplies are among the best.
